Good Morning Everyone, Steve Evans has told the YEP that Cellino is ready to back him financially to bring in enough quality players for a play off push!!! Thoughts? Evans has also been speaking to BBC Radio Leeds as to why Lee Erwin or Jordan Botaka were not named in Leeds squad to face Preston. Reason is, he simply felt there were better options available! Evans explained that Erwin, who spent a brief spell on loan at League One side Bury earlier in the season, is not at the required fitness level to warrant a place in the side. Evans said: "Lee Erwin needs to get fitter. He can either get fitter or go to Scotland. The nice thing is he's working so hard at Thorp Arch, I think he's got his sleeping bag in. "When we get him where we want him, which is only where he was at Motherwell, we're getting Lee back in control [of his fitness] and he'll have a big future at Leeds United." Discussing Botaka, Evans explained that he missed his opportunity to impress and has had to go the the back of the queue. "Young Jordan's been unfortunate. He came on against Charlton, we didn't think he helped us open the door. Three sleeps until Christmas. Who's getting excited. Tell me, what is the worst Christmas present you have ever received?
Morning Elland. Bit surprised about Erwin's fitness. He's been at the club since pre-season. Time for him to go out on loan I think. On Botaka, I think he'll come good soon, & certainly needs a spot on the bench & then get 20 mins or so in the 2nd half to show what he can deliver. On worst Cliffmas pressy, I think that's my change of health. Nothing more for this site, but hopefully I'll get to a few more games in 2016. On Cellino, we need a better striker, Bridcutt & Byram on long contracts, & maybe one more creative player
Morning all. I hate to say it but I find myself liking more and more what Evans has to say. He certainly seems to say the right thing and I cant fault his comments about either Erwin or Botaka. Worst xmas present ever- My sister bought me a big rope hammock. I have never used it as I absolutely nowhere to hang it in my garden.
Will be interesting to see if Cellino backs us in January. We are in a healthy position and on a good run. A few more points over xmas and he will have no excuse not to back us with another striker a must in my opinion.
Morning all... Honestly not picking up on this because I am anti Evans, but the sort of thing that grates on me about him... He just says the right things whether he means them or not... When he joined, he couldn't wait to get Erwin back from loan, here is what he said when interviewed amongst many things... “I have to say, I think he’s been treated a bit unfairly. “He’s gone to Bury on loan, a good club, but he will have thought, ‘I’ve joined Leeds United and now I’m playing for Bury’. So it just shows Erwin has some kind of fitness problem and he was sent to Bury for a good reason. Morning all. Two days of work left and then some decent chill out family time. Worst xmas present ever, having to suffer three in laws I never particularly liked. Thankfully, as Ive matured, I make sure I only invite people around I actually want to spend time with As for Evans, first manager in a long long time whose comments I actually want to listen to. Theres an air of honesty about the guy and can be no doubt, many of the squad are performing better since his arrival. Also seems to have got the Italian and English halves of the club playing together. Something Redfern was hopeless at
When Erwin came on against Rotherham he looked so unfit so not surprised he has been dropped. Sounded like Steve wasn't happy with his attitude to me on the interview

I dont think Erwin is going to cut it. Hardly amazing for Motherwell, just signed on the back of a good 5 game run and I think hes natural position in out wide rather than up tops and Dallas has that spot covered, even Mowatt slots in there.
