Now if Mo has a go at his own players who just won the league, wtf you think he's going to do with United players, many of whom are average and under performing, with all due respect. You think Mo will have any time for Memphis, or even Rooney if they play like that under him? He'll be chewing and spitting them out.
Rooney needs chewing and spitting out. With a little more attacking intent (even Mourinho level) we would not have under performing players. At the moment we have an under performing team, doing so under orders.
Maybe he does, but it's not exactly gonna create harmony is it? With him being captain, and a big ego, it will be another case of losing the dressing room, and considering how bad he is, you don't want him not even trying.
We have a lot very good players who are underperforming. That's not the same as saying they are poor players.
I don't want him being in a position to try. A player can not cause disharmony when he is at another club
Given United's current position, I think Mourinho is worth the risk even with the drama that may follow. If it means we become competitive in short order, it would bold well for us. We are 7 points behind Arsenal and 8 behind Leicester. That is not a gap that is insurmountable if we gain momentum.

Give Jose the job, we are guaranteed of doing well in the first 2 seasons, definitely better than what clueless van gaal has done. He can always be fired in the 3rd season when things start going upside down, enough time for giggs to be ripe. Oh also expect Jose to sign some African players that will be loyal to him. It's been long time since we have strong powerful African players.
We need a couple of good 'mixers' like David Louis or Willian who aren't afraid to get stuck in...............ours seem to be a little 'soft' in that sense.
I don't think Chelsea have been boring these past two seasons. The whole brand of football dialogue thing is all too crazy. If we get six shots on target, I really don't care what brand it is. That is primarily our problem.
Tbh Real Madrid were anything but boring under Mourinho. I think ppl may be pleasantly surprised if he's given the freedom to do what he wants. I imagine a good balance of defence and attack. Mourhino does like his box to box midfielders tbf. Where he often went overly defensive was against the big sides which I can accept.
They have and often don't kid yourself, they may come out guns blazing occasionaly but in general it's defensive football that is hard to break down. If your going to go Jose go there with your eyes open.
Like I just said go there knowing what you're going to get, he is defensive they are not pretty to watch on most occasions. It's like excuses are coming out because he may be your manager and all the bus comments that have been thrown at Chelsea were all a bit of a laugh and not actually true. Custard will be throwing himself off the nearest building. The enthusiasm and drive that Jose brings may well be what you need but entertaining football? No.
Wherever he goes Jose will have to change his approach to managing the dressing room. He used to be revered by the players who hung on his every word. This time round the Chelsea players turned on him and forced him out. He'll never again be able to dominate a dressing room like he used to. I think LVG is finding the same problem with his approach. The players just don't buy into his dictatorial approach.
See I never agreed with all that about how Chelsea played. Ten years ago they played good stuff and had great players. The difference was they went defensive and closed games out. They also set up defensively when playing certain teams.
I honestly enjoyed watching RM when he was there. He builds from the back and looks first and foremost at the defence I agree, but everything from midfield upwards was great to watch at RM. It was expansive football, and honestly check out some of the scorelines for Real in his first season alone. I feel he'd come in with the same approach at a club like United. You are right though, the fact is it's looking likely he'll be our next manager and so there is an element of trying to look for the best in him. Given where we are and what he offers, I think United fans have no choice but to do that. We have to give him the benefit of the doubt and see what he does.
A very different league though and with the players he had in place attack was always going to be the obvious option. I don't think he'll do that with you lot he'll revert to type and look to be very difficult to break down, it wont be pretty but as we know it can be effective.
