    Only once this year has Watford not gone on the win the game if they go 1 nil up and that was 1st game of the season (Everton)

    A charity shop's auction of a Premier League footballer's kit has raised £1,285.88 for poverty relief.

    Watford's Ikechi Anya dropped off the shirts and boots at Oxfam in St Albans.

    The charity held an online auction on eBay and the best-performing item was a fully-signed Watford shirt which fetched £392.

    We've signed a new goalkeeper, Luke Simpson, who has played for Accrington Stanley until the start of the year. He made six or ten appearances for them, depending on which source you read.

    How does it work to sign a player when the transfer window is not open? Is it permitted due to the injuries our keepers have had?

    Nathan Ake will be a Watford player for the rest of the season even if Chelsea’s new Dutch interim manager Guus Hiddink wants to recall the Holland Under-21 international.

    We understand the left-back, signed on a season-long loan deal from the Premier League champions, could have had his stay at Vicarage Road ended prematurely had he not played a minimum number of games for the Hornets under the terms of the agreement. He is now over that threshold so the release clause is redundant.
