Another puppet manager who does as he's told i.e. John Terry telling the players what to do on the touch line.

Personally, I'm starting to think that we need a different type of Manager - possibly for a 5 months gig - to get us out of the hole we have dug for ourselves.

We need a Pulis/Pearson/Allardyce/Pardew type of Manager (NB - not those individuals) - someone who will get us battling and get us to at least 17th.

If we succeed in staying in the PL, then we can revert to the appointment of a "Swansea Way" type of Manager.

Heresy to change tack? Possibly, but with so much money available next season, it may be we need a "Horses for Courses" appointment.

The manager is not as important as the Striker! If we had a decent striker, Curtis could easily see us through the second half of the season.........<ok>

Did I mishear the commentator, I thought he said Laudrup was doing the TV broadcasting in between jobs. I didn't know he'd left his last manager's post.

Yep , Laudrup is goners from Qatar .....and already turned down the Denmark National team when their current managers contract runs out next season .
It's club football that's on Laudrup's mind ,and being a man of his word , he'll only take a " Big Club " gig that he wants. Imo

    a comment from Curtis

"In terms of possession we were excellent. We looked like a Swansea City team again," added Curtis.
"We bossed the game but we just lacked that killer edge up front. That is partly to do with the service they get.
"Perhaps we overcomplicated at times, playing sideways and backwards rather than forwards. But it's something to work from, it is a good base."

with 73% of the possession its a disgrace we did not score Mr Curtis

But at least Curtis has the balls to admit that they must improve in the final third. Monk wouldn't have.

Yes, it's very poor we didn't score against West Ham. Yes, most of us thought the substitutions were wrong.
However, the first step was for us to stop losing games. Achieved.
The next step was to stop conceding goals for fun. Achieved. With a clean sheet - the first in a while.
The next step is to get scoring again.
We actually looked more like 'ourselves' didn't we ?
I think it's not fair to completely judge Curtis on these 2 games. If we somehow beat WBA and Palace with Curtis in charge, we'd all be happy wouldn't we ?
With some of the names that are being mentioned, it could be a case of better the devil you know.

I agree, even though we got one point between the Man City and West Ham game we started playing with some guts again, actually having a go. Curtis can only be praised after two games for making such a huge difference...unless its just the 'lack of Monk' effect.

From what I have heard the training field is a different place since Monk has gone, players are enjoying it again and it seems that is filtering through to the pitch.

Curtis is as Jack as they come so lets not start berating him for not bringing on players until 9 minutes to go just yet...we are playing a million times better, lets support him for that.

We do. We are playing better and he deserves the credit for that. But his substitutions and change of tactics were sadly lacking when the game was crying out for them at around the 60 minute mark. Do you want us to ignore that and just pretend he got it right? Curtis is not the answer long term.
