He's been on loan at Grimsby, Chesterfield, Carlise, Dundee and Scunthorope and has only really made an impact in the Conference. He's almost 23, I don't think it's really a surprise that he's not considered good enough for a Championship club with Premier League aspirations, even if he does take a decent free kick.
It was a well struck freekick but the positioning of the wall and the keeper was hopeless. He probably wouldn't have scored it if playing in the Championship or Premier League. Unless it was against Newcastle or Sunderland obviously.
Hang on. I'm getting me Ressies in a twist. Edit: ****. I'm confused now. Who am I talking about? I'm turning into me Grandma. I'll be dribbling next. And not in a good way.
You're thinking of Cagney and Lacey, but I think they were in another programme called Tyne and Daly.
Yes, I mean it's not like other players have dropped down to non league, only to earn moves back to the PL. Clubs do get it wrong.
Not sure Burnley, Boro, Brighton or Derby would be interested, you're probably right. I've heard he has a bit of an issue with attitude, which is why Dundee Utd sent him back early. I would wager he'll stay at Grimsby unless he gets an offer higher up the league ladder.
