I think Charlie Taylor seems to be the pick of the kids over the past year. I hope we can retain the players we have rather than signing players no better than what we have. I don't think Cellino will be spending any money, if there are any new signings they will be financed from sales.
Fair point, I didn't take the flaiing arms into consideration, I must confess. And I'm still not sure that he did handle it, tbh. However, as I said, he took out Wood before he touched the ball. Deffo red card - I just got the reason wrong from the distance I was at (and let's face it - you see what you want to see in these situations ). Linesman was right on to it. Not sure what reception Kilkenny got. I couldn't hear as I was giving him all the volume I could muster for all the bile & vitriol I was aiming at him. I never liked him as a player as he was a big crapper. Never made a tackle in his life & jumped a mile if anyone threatened to tackle him. Now if he was a Messi, then fair enough. He wasn't, so he got the treatment. If Beckford came on, I would have given him all of the respect in the world, whether I liked him as a player or not. The reason? He's hugely respectful to the ER crowd. A gentleman.
Heyup Elland, i think that "10 men harder to beat" is a commentator thing, we have to learn how to stretch a team especially when they have only 10 players, and one of them is a 17 yr old youth player in goal, shoot on sight, force corners and bully him on his line etc. we have a lot to learn as a team and even more as a Manager!!
You're probably right, and I think that Evans is aware of that. Hence his public announcement that he wanted to win games leading up to the window so that Cellino might see it's a worthwhile option to further invest. I think he's got it spot on - if Cellino gets a whiff of the play-offs, or even the makings of a promotion-winning team for next season, there's a very good chance he'll reinvest the pie tax
Leeds U21s playing Sheffield Wednesday at Thorp Arch later. Botaka, Erwin, Bianchi, Sloth, Coyle and Phillips all starting.
Nice touch by the Leeds United Supporters Club who've made Steve Evans an honorary member. Evans says he's "very proud" of that.
Does your Mrs know you are a prolific user of Chat Rooms or does she just think you work really hard?
I know we always seem to lose when down to 10 men, I think it is the players mentality half the time. Afternoon all
Dont know, dont care.... cant be arsed to ask her. As long a dinner is on the table when I finish, thats all she needs to worry about until its time to wash up.
Agreed WID, we should've taken advantage of having the extra man, but we didn't. Preston did retreat somewhat, but also managed to get their fair share of breaks against us to the point of showing them to be the stronger side in 2nd half; even with 10 men they still managed to run through our midfield. From what I was listening too from my Mars radio relay link on dark side of moon, it wasn't a patch on the Hull game, and we were lucky, but also did well to hang on for the win. A wins a win though and it puts us 5 points from 6th position, we need to keep it up though.....
Has its been a while since you last did female gardening old timer? Thats not how we do it these days!
