Do we have that many "players" to get rid of?![]()
I could name you about 20 I'd like to get rid of

Do we have that many "players" to get rid of?![]()

Time must be running out for Texeira to.When you look at our squad we have a LOT to trim. Plenty of players that don't fit or aren't good enough.
...and that's before thinking about selling those who we 'could' keep but could improve on - Lucas, Benteke etc.
Mingolet
Bogdan
Skrtel
Lovren
Milner
Lallana
Benteke (sorry just doesn't fit)
Balotelli
Sinclair
Toure
Thats 10, Although I'd give Benteke another season.
Senior players I would sell straight away:
Benteke
Mario
Enrique
Toure
Lovren
Bogdan
Senior players who can stay but shouldn't be starting:
Skrtel
Lucas
Henderson
Lallana
Mignolet

Berahino will be off in the window, plus have you seen his form since being told he can't move? Add to that he wont sign a new contract so West Brom will miss out on any big money if they don't cash in soon.
Stones, Everton are a more establish team than yourselves (sorry but its true) and even then they have only managed to fend one big club off (Chelsea) for one window and that was only a couple of weeks at the end. See what happens when others become interested and its over a whole summer, Man U are already supposed to be looking at Stones. The feeling is that Everton will eventually cash in.
Its a sad fact that the big clubs will hoover up anyone who has a good season. Mahrez will be sold in the next couple of years. Vardy you have a better chance at keeping due to his age.
...no arguing with that ... but Everton under Bill Kenwright don't have our financial clout (frankly I'm amazed that they have not been acquired by foreign ownership)... which is really my point about not needing to sell ...
Our Thai owners have written off our debt by converting to equity and have bought the stadium back under club ownership (and with plans to expand to a 45k capacity) ... the only players we have moved on under them have been surplus to requirements e.g Chris Wood, David Nugent, Paul Konchesky ...
There is a Leicester City club shop in Bangkok airport ...as I've said, the owners main (publicly stated) objective is to establish the club as competitive in the Premier League in terms of challenging for Europe annually ... all appears to be geared towards promting the King Power brand, especially in South East asia ... and certainly appears to be working....
... they seem far more concerned about image than financial gains .. hence Pearson's departure ... Vardy's apology and participation on a cultural tolerance course after the casino fracas ...
Unsettled players wanting to move on is outside of our control even if we offer matching financial packages etc ... so I'm bracing myself for that ... but I'm as certain as I can be that there will not be a Southampton or Villa fire sale to balance books / fund incomings ... because that would completely undermine the owners staed plans ... and they have ben nothing but shrewd so far.
On the highlighted sentence How is the FFP dispute with the football league going ?...no arguing with that ... but Everton under Bill Kenwright don't have our financial clout (frankly I'm amazed that they have not been acquired by foreign ownership)... which is really my point about not needing to sell ...

All this talk of Mahrez and Vardy leaving, I think its more likely Leicester will do the opposite in the transfer market. With the position you guys are in, I'd be amazed if you didn't bring in one or two additions to boost the squad ready for the run-in. You're not exactly short of a few quid.

You didn't sell Flanno![]()
On the highlighted sentence How is the FFP dispute with the football league going ?
Ha, I was more concerned with the more senior members of the squad who think they should be starting.
Flanno's contract is expiring soon. He will do well if it's renewed.
... no mention of it tbf ... I'm a little sceptical on FFP full stop ... Chelski and Man City have flouted the rules successfully for many years ... Man United are run on massive debt ... until the authorities make a stance against 'loopholes' I don't think we will be the prime target for FFP compliance ... ...
Ah but the Football league take it more seriously than UEFA ,though there penalty system seems a bit extreme (see QPR) ,as it is desperate to stop clubs going into administration or worse.Mind you the way this season going a £20m fine could seem well worth it... no mention of it tbf ... I see the refusal to sell has worked so well for stones and Everton. ..
Berahino is a terrible example cos he's been rubbish since. Spurs messed up leaving it so late.
Simply put unless chelsea pony up mad cash Leicester are safe til may. After that it's not if it's when.

Didn't Berahino get unsettled the previous 2 windows as well (i swear you hear the managers backing him all the time) and he seemed to do well last season.
Vardy seems like the type who would keep playing well even if they refused to let him leave. Mahrez i'm not sure about.
Similar to Suarez and yourselves, no disrespect to you guys but Arsenal were a bigger outfit than you and even then he didn't get to leave and he had the season of his life.
Morgan Schneiderlin, had a great season last year with Southampton when he didn't get his move.

oops perhaps should read all posts in a thread ( even those by fat reindeer ) not just my replies

Mentioned Matip few months ago because I think Newcastle were rumoured to be interested in him... think Nozzer said he hasn't been great last couple of years though & possibly quite injury prone?
