While I agree with Spanish on the following - * Style of play is not for me. * We HAVE been quite poor often this season from what I've seen. * Agree re full backs and keepers. Lets just seriously ENJOY that we're getting results !? I mean if we were 15th or so, cry have a fit. We're 6th for heavens sake heading into the new year. Fraser is back, Bish is close, I think we can improve how we play. Results one, style of play two.
I don't think anybody is saying we've played well up to now but the table has us in sixth so we must be doing something right.
A better manager would have this current squad higher imo but you carry on backing boring Mick, we all know he ain't gonna take us up but that doesn't matter as long as we end up in the top ten year on year ffs

Oh and sd FYI this time last season we were top(ish) of the table but this season we are twelve points off top, so I wouldn't go getting too excited and creaming your knickers!
I think Mick must be one of the most divisive managers ever to have been in charge of Town.Some don't seem to care about the quality of football(hoofball) he serves up as long as he gets some sort of result whilst others of us would prefer to be entertained for our money.I'm really not expecting us to win every game or so called champagne football just to look forward to going down to PR with the expectation of seeing us actually try to string together more than three passes(two would be a start) instead of keeper,thump it as long as you can,cb lump it as far forward as you can,win a throw hurl it as far forward as you can,etc,etc it really is quite depressing.
Believe me Bigal, when I'm watching the few games I can see each season I'm screaming at the TV to get the ball on the floor and slapping my hand to my forehead every time Chambo and Knudsen launch the ball for no reason. It's not pretty to watch and I feel for those of you spending time and money on following the Town. On the other hand, I am enjoying our league position, I am enjoying not getting trounced on the regular and I believe our squad is getting steadily better and we do play some quality football in patches. It doesn't mean I'm happy with everything but as a whole package I'm proud to be a tractor boy supporting a team that's a pest to the big spenders in the league and currently doing better than others who have also invested. I also think a different manager could be playing better football with the staff we have.
Every game I've watched under Mick has been far more entertaining than most under Keane and Jewell, as I've said before I don't think we play football in the defensive third I think it's 'don't mess about here get it up there and play in their half', for me it's not all about fancy passing.
I don't like losing but understand it happens and I know we can't win every game.The problem I have is the manner in which we lose, one shot on target when we are at home is a disgrace and I get bloody angry when people are happy with this and make poxy excuses!
Im sure there are other managers who can get their sides playing expansive, flowing football, I too find myself shouting to get the ball on the floor and play football at the top of my voice, but MM is what we have and when I think back just 3 seasons to the mess the Club was in post Dumb and Dumber I have to say I prefer what we have now by a country mile. Could things be better? of course they could and if theres money made available Im sure they will, you ask any Town away fan what it was like not so long ago to travel to the backside of the Country somewhere knowing full well we would lose with yet another pitiful performance, hasn't anyone noticed the enthusiasm and confidence which runs through the entire away end no matter what part of the Country we are in? We might well lose but we go there thinking we are in with a chance, theres just no comparison to a few seasons ago ask any Town away fan or better still get yourselves to an away match and see for yourselves, Christ you couldn't make it up! We lost to Boro and Derby who spent £11M and £20M respectively in the Summer so are they better than us? of course they bloody are.
That's fine. Doesn't give you right to be abusive though. But that's ok, whatever. Be as angry as you want.

Somebody has a feeling of self importance.......it's not all about you Spanish other people have opinions that are just as valid as yours.....just because they don't abuse those with a different view does not mean they are dicks... Sorry if my liking another posters post upsets you or makes you jealous....no need to cry about it though......
