Probably one thing seriously overlooked in all of this is that Gerrard no longer plays for LFC!! Ok performance wise, especially in his last season, you'd think no biggie but it must be a huge miss not having him there in the dressing room etc when we're struggling to find any kind of reassurance in any areas of the pitch
sometimes... sometimes not. He's the type who can be moody too. If he really believes he's great. if he doesn't he's a let down. I suppose a lot can be like that cos frankly terry, lampard and drogba got a few managers the sack in their time too. Klopps come in and he needs IMO to assess now who's on his side and who are his leaders to pull the rest in line. If he's not got them he's not got them.
long legs like sahko. a top international player.... completely uselss in prem. As i said at least shako has another game to ut this right v vardy and mahrez.
message to all LFC fans. C'mon lads its not that bad, nothing we should not have expected in the end. There's lots of work to be done and frnakly after houllier we were 8th. lafter rafa we were 7th then 18th before dlaglish.... we've been 6th or 7th for years.... klopp specifically said he was not a miracle worker...
Out of all our players this season (most of the time) the only ones fit to wear the shirt have been Ibe, Can, Clyne, Lucas and Coutinho. The rest to varying degrees can all get to ****, either in Jan or in the summer. I've ****ing had it with all of them and their uselessness, idleness or injuredness !! (Oh and Gomez and Ings are obviously exempt from this for obvious raisins)
Yeah I meant houllier joined us in 8th spot.... We've just gotta get the chins up really. Same as what Klopp said about reacting to losing the goal. Same as he said back at palace game time.
To do that you've got to have the right personnel. A lot / most of our players don't convince me that they've got the right mentality that Klopp desires they have. The last few games have been much more representative of what a lot of these players are about than the great wins against City and Chavs and Saints. You see the true competitor in tough times.
I think the early goal ruined the game plan we wanted to impose. We probably wanted to keep it tight and frustrate them for us to capitalise with our front three. The ball was in his hands and should've been disallowed and from then on in we were ruined mentally.
Still need to get the chins up. I'm not shocked by any of it. I predicted most of it in fact We could have done without proving me right that out in bogdan and it's like having Mingolet as they are at the same level. Klopp was right about losing their minds. The two cbs were totally put off by his flog and they were so scared to back pass (which he always cleared fine btw) that they played us into dreadful trouble time after time... Moreno thought he should play left side forward so sahko had no out ball on his left.... Clyne was bambi on ice... coutinho was God awful.. In fact we got what we deserved, we were bullied off the park in the fairest way possible. They were just plain better. I hope this stops people listening to guff about Benteke and starts people thinking as frank does about our players over playing it, not trusting in no each other and not passing it quickly and precisely. There were brief occasions when we actually played two touch but the minute we got to the half way line lol.... well you get the picture. We need to stop just blaming one guy or another and say we want collective Manning up all round the park where everyone trusts the plan and works the plan.
The hilarious bits were Sakho and Can, Sakho sat on his arse or panicking all the time and Can sleeping and shouting at the officials and other players. Useless pair
I've always said Sakho is gash and when pressured on the ball is like bambi on ice. He's won over kopites by winning a few headers and not being as totally ****e as Lovren. Can has been massively over hyped. What is he exactly? A fullback? A CB? Or a distinctly average midfield player?
Sakho is no better than the other CHs they have. Can is pretty average anywhere he plays, this lot are impressed because he makes the odd tackle and can run into 40 yards of space with the ball before passing it to the nearest player when confronted by a opponent. Even the new messiah (Klopp) said he is a 21 year old who plays like an 18 year old
I very much doubt it. Too many on here simply play favourites instead of attempting constructive analysis. A team is a team, not a collection of individuals - until they start playing like one they'll fall apart under pressure, and until the fans accept that, they'll continue to blame players for individual errors without seeing the bigger picture. I said after the games against Bordeaux and Swansea that, despite winning, the performances were dire. I didn't get too many agreeing with me because people seem to be content with the win-at-any-cost philosophy. It was obvious that despite getting those wins, the performances were nowhere near good enough and if we carried on like that we'd be found out. Grinding out wins is something you do occasionally when necessary, not something to try and make a habit of. The draw against Sion might have been enough to get the job done, but playing well breeds confidence and gives the players the belief they need when the going is tougher. We've now put in one decent performance out of the last seven- it's just not good enough. The problem is much deeper than mere individual errors.
A nice ring to this headline tbf... http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/sport/football/premierleague/article4645764.ece
