Who do you think the BBC would least want to win it? Yep that's right, so I voted for him. :emoticon-0146-punch

If you mean Fury, it would be the person most decent people would least like to win, I would say.

I'd love Fury to win. Would be hilarious and would make a change to award it to a bloke who actually has a bloody personality.

Great to see Michael O'Neill win Coach of the Year, To get Northern Ireland to qualify winning their group was exceptional...

I'm fairly sure most boxing fans have voted for him, are they not decent people? Given that it's called sports personality of the year then Fury is the sportsman with the biggest personality of those nominated.

I'd say he's more a lunatic than outright horrible.

Murray's come a long way from the pillock he was in 2006 wearing the Paraguay shirt when they played England. He's undoubtedly our greatest ever tennis player...

Won by a dreary fud from a minority sport. Very BBC.

    Blimey.

Why didn't the PC Beeb remove him from the list of nominees then?

Why are you starting a thread on this when one already exists?

There was pressure for them to do so, but they rightly refused.

It would be interesting to see how many voted for each contender...

I agree also. But I think they didn't remove him because he's a member of the 'travelling community.' If it was John Terry ( rightly so ) or anyone else not considered a minority they would've been gone. There's probably been a lot of tears shed and a gnarling of knuckles over the irony of the beeb's situation.

Well I actually voted as I got involved with the tele.. This country wears you down
Froome but can't see the BBC aligning themselves with the drugs thing... When we have it athletics, horse racing and corruption in football.

    Andy Murray?

We'll never know but the cynic in me says Murray is just a safe choice by the BBC and perhaps didn't get the most votes at all. He also competes in one of the few sports still covered by the BBC.
