And against West Brom too, silly points dropped due to goalkeeper errors. Even Crystal Palace, Migs didn't cover himself in glory.
Completely wrong. I said the poor lad.. I'm not therefore knocking him. Think about it. Also think just for a moment before reacting. Origi came on and could do nothing.. not because he is not able but because the team was not able. You keep missing this on your mission of anti benteke. The team is what's important to Klopp and the team is not working.
So it's all one or two he guys fault and not the whole teams collective work... or lack there of. Think on lads.
It's just a wum effort... who lost to Norwich? Hmmmm I'm glad I've pegged lfc for 6th already. .. that looks dodgy too....we have a lot of work to do and Klopp said so day one. Some guys aught to listen to the guy
True - this team is a work in progress. But we've seen this team perform without Benteke more times than with. It's a justified stance. And Benteke came on late in the game - did he even touch the ball? Origi looked more Threatening.
Just a different way of pointing out that the 3 players who are alleged (by some) to bring the team down and disrupt the whole dynamic were missing today, and you were actually worse
The west brom wasn't that bad. Stupid mistakes cost us goals, but we still scored twice and should have scored two more. Now today,if we hadn't have conceded two stupid goals early on, what would have happened? I agree that the collective can do more but Stupid mistakes continue to set us back.
The fact that mentioned the words 'speed' and 'guile' in the same sentence as Milner was amusing! You've cheered me up.
No, that's not what I'm saying at all. I was making the point that individual errors have cost us goals, and therefore points, in some games under Klopp. I'm not saying that apart from these errors everything would be brilliant and we'd be top of the table, its just a lot of our problems are more deep rooted than simply changing formation or tactics. Goalkeeper dropping the ball is not something you can remedy by playing 2 strikers instead of 1 or 3 centre backs instead of 2.
As a man who spots his every poor play you sure miss some good things. He had one headed attempt at goal (well wide) and knocked the ball down twicw to Origi (to help him look dangerous). He also laid it off with his feet a few times
Did you see how many times Can and Sakho got the ball taken off them today? Yet you single out a CH who got beat for pace by a striker in form.
Sakho's performance today was one the worst PL defending performances I have witnessed. Clearly rushed back for Lovren's injury but even still - it was ****ing unacceptable
It was a terrible performance but I'm not too worried about it. I remember Vidic's performance against Liverpool in 2009 was pretty piss poor. So was John Terry's against Arsenal when they lost 5-3 under AVB. All defenders have those days, as long as it doesn't become a habit he'll be fine.
same, I'm not overly concerned as we've all seen what he can do on his day, was just hugely disappointing.
Its a bit of everything. I'm not going to go on about expensive players that don't match quality with price as it's a mute point under a new manager who didn't buy them. Klopp has called the main thing though. Mentality. These players don't trust themselves or each other. They overplay the ball..they don't make the runs because they don't believe that the teammate in posession is going to be successful. They lack concentration because of this fear which leads to individual mistakes. When a mistake is made that leads to conceding you can see shoulders slump like it was inevitable rather than something to move on from and salvage. Klopp has stated his primary job when coming in was to change this belief and thats not unreasonable since there are other teams that are not filled with quality, but as a team play better than the individual player. But a time will come when he has to decide which players will not change mentally and remove that infection from the team. If he gets to buy players he believes in come January...Great! But i fully expect his business to start in the summer and unlike under Rodgers we won't buy 8 players at a time to leave the team constantly in a state of transition....
