I love your optimism. We got only one point the whole of December when we were looking realistically for 9 points. None of the matches were difficult. The worst thing is that we were outplayed in all 3 matches. 3-0 and it could have been worse. I hope that those who were going over the top with Klopp's appointment are now more realistic.
I say ramp up the hugs, maybe throw in a kiss or two after a defeat. A good hard snog from Jurgen would convince me to try a lot ****ing harder.
I was sceptical about his players and his thingy with the Anfield crowd after the WBA draw, now it may be viewed as being misguided.
Klopp has inherited the dross rodgers left behind i for one classed this season as a right off as he simply doesnt have the quality or the right type of players at his disposal to impliment his way of playing, klopp will have the chance to bring in players he feels are capable of playing at the top level and get rid of the ****e rodgers brought in. Next season will be the true test for klopp only then can people judge.
Well, it turns out they were difficult. You can't expect too much too soon. I am realistic and I am don't go mad when we win and think we'll take the title, and likewise, I am not flipping out when we go on a bad run. If we make the top 4 this year, can I at least get a "You are the greatest person in the world and remaining calm and having perspective is just one of your many talents" type apology from you?
This is not quite true though. In that case why sack Rodgers mid season? This reasoning does not make sense. Klopp has now a worse record than Rodgers.
And think it's more to do with losing to Newcastle, drawing to WBA and now loading to Watford than just this one game. I agree people need to lighten up though. We knew this season was a write off when Brod wasn't sacked in the summer!
We had to sack Rodgers in order to appoint Klopp before another huge team swooped in and stole him. Simple really. In an ideal world I'm sure Rodgers would have been given this season, but we had to strike while the Klopp was hot.
Blamed the ref and linesman one week, blamed Pulis the big bad bully last week. Wonder who Klopp will be blaming today? At what point will he start throwing the players under the bus to save his own incompetence. Seems the liverpool fans are ready to believe that bollox too
Exactly. We are all contradicting ourselves. Let's just be delighted when we play well, and expectant when we don't. Then we're always happy. Plus, none of us live in Syria do we? I mean, how bad is this really.. ?
Rodgers was underperforming last season look at where we finished he spent 200 million on garbage players, players that klopp is working with now and it is clear to see that most are simply not good enough
We had a unfit Sakho and a centre back who hates being hassled in the ball playing against the most hardworking strikers in the prem. Either we would concede or Skrtel would be sent off and I got two right basically haha. Zero midfield and not a single attacking intent the whole game. Coutinho/Lallna/Firmino were terrible, all 1/10 ratings. Origi looked good when he came on but he had zero support. One of the worst performances I've seen from the team. I'm guessing Klopp felt it was game over because he should've put Benteke and Ibe on immediately.
Here's the irritating thing, though, the time is ripe to strike at top 4 with Chelsea in the **** and the Manc Scum slipping back - and we dont even show up against the sides we should be beating! ATM it's top 6 if we're lucky. As it is we'll be lucky if we get a draw against Leicester. It has nothing to do with Klopp it's the **** putting on the shirt. Overpaid, overpriced dross. Three players worth keeping: Henderson, Sakho and Coutinho and I can see Coutinho pissing off first chance he gets
Say this quite often; there are a lot of people on here, all with differing opinions. Things will appear to be contradictory at times but it's usually different posters.
I'm delighted we have Klopp. He will get back us to back to where we need to be. This year is a write off - don't expect much. The next few transfer windows will be crucial.
If, as someone says, we don't spend in January because FSG don't like the January window then that says a lot about them IMO.
Why is everyone saying we must spend big in January? Because our big money signings have been so good so far... Because Leicester, palace, Watford have all spent millions on their teams? Players need to man up and actually perform... These are all international players being shown up by others who are willing to put some effort in. We we need to get rid of players who have been here and have taken the club to mediocre standards. We need young hungry players with pace and flair. Lookat palace, Bolasie, Zaha, Puncheon quick flair players who can crate. Leicester, Vardy, Mahrez. We we have no width in this team and that's mainly due to poor transfers. The only player we have with speed in the team is Ibe and Origi, neither of them are first team players.
