Agree - he's underperforming at the moment, in fact we've only ever had flashes of what he might be capable of. I have him down as a rather lazy player but may be that's his laid-back style
No he is lazy. Add to that he's on pretty mental wages and won't be here for much longer then it makes no sense to me to play him over Luongo, Chery and JET who are all very different but all more effective IMO and need games to establish themselves in this team beyond this season
How's Africa? I should qualify, I'm finding it boring. And yes we draw on TV every other week, but there was a way to see every game last year.
Yes, certainly Luongo and Chery are the future, but whether Hasslehoff can see that, I'm not convinced
It's class. Only been here a few hours but the hotel is blinding and cheap and there aren't families all wearing identical football shirts like most places I tend to visit. Must be becoming a grown up. I was seriously bored at the Reading and Burnley games but Brighton and today, both of which I missed, seem an improvement. I guess we are all different but there was nothing worse for me than getting outclassed and embarrassed weekly against most Prem teams. Whether Derby away or Rotherham at home, I have no idea what result to expect at the moment which I like.
I'm sure he can. He probably backs himself to get the best out of Fer. If he can't, I'm not sure who can. If Fer continues to play at this level and keeps getting starts, it will get tiring quickly.
I thought Cheri blew hot and cold. Pretty hot at the start of the season, pretty cold after a few weeks and seemed to lose all confidence. Hope Jimmy can get him playing with confidence. Think his best position is central, and Fer isn't doing great there.
Agree, but he cant build his confidence by never playing ??? The occasional 20-30 min cameo would surely give a burst of pace and energy, and build his confidence.
No, of course not. I can only guess he hasn't shown enough in training. Ramsey towards the end of his time, Colin and now JLH haven't used him a lot despite Fer''s average performances. Junior's sudden improvement can't be helping Cheri either, and playing both in a midfield 3 does look low weight.
That was a waste of a Saturday. First half was as bad as I've seen us this season bar the Fulham game. We started without any of the urgency or desire that we've seen since JFH took over. Second half was a bit better and deserved to go a goal up. Any decent team would've possessed the professional capacity to see the game out. This game should have been a classic case of winning one nil away having not played well. When Hoilett hit the bar a minute before Bristol scored, we would've sealed the victory but those are the margins that determine whether you end up at the business end of the table or remain in mid-table mediocrity.
Extremely disappointed yesterday....we looked jaded from the start. Lots of bad decision making and polter has a lot to learn but don't blame him. There were 3/4 absolutely knackered in second half after 3'games in a week so why JFH didn't make changes I'll never understand. Faurlin and Phillips were visibly tired from 200 yards away!! Chery and Luongo, JET, whoever should havec been on much earlier and all 3s morale can't be good at the moment. Typical rangers the game on Tuesday v yday like chalk and cheese!!!
It begs a question of the previous regime(s) that after a couple of games of pressing like all teams should half the side is on its collective arse. I don't think Hasselbaink's tactics are out of the ordinary and professional athletes should be well capable of achieving them. His Burton team hugely overachieved playing this way so in time I expect it will come good.
ITS BAD MANAGEMENT WARNOCK WOULD HAVE BROUGHT ON THE JET WITH 30 MINS BUT THIS LES FERDINAND PAPER BOY SCREWED UP AGAIN im afraid we are going to finish about tenth and brentford are going to go up through the play offs the directyor of football is not at any other championship clubs and yet these clubs beat us it dosnt work it createss confusion brentford beat us with out a manager this season and thats the key get rid of ferrdinand and hassel;bink and maybe we make the play offs install warnock and we deffinately make the play offs ITS A CRYING SHAME BUT WE ARE FINISHED UNTILL FERDINAND GOES
I'm beginning to think you are one of our old friends back under a new name. And there is only one of them with the self discipline to keep in character so long. Maybe that's why brb gave you that cryptic and sinister welcome.
For ****'s sake Ted. I think everyone gets your point. Warnock isn't our manager and he won't be again. Get used to it or at least get over it. Even if your point was true, what long term plan is there in appointing a pensioner who understandably has more pressing concerns in his personal life than managing our football club.
