    I cringe when people say "this is one of the richest countries in the world", as if the country owns you and what you produce, and can decide what it does with it.

    At its best, a nation state is a community, a collective enterprise where everyone contributes and everyone is provided for. Like Britain during and after WWII.

    We're one of the richest countries in the world, with one of the highest standards of living. Stop ****ing moaning that a few people that aren't you are receiving money because they ****ing need it to survive.

    The State allowed you to thrive and become the super-rich 'awesome' person that you are now. You wouldn't be in the same situation if you were born in Mogadishu. Be ****ing grateful for the chances you got and leave the poor ****s struggling to feed themselves alone <doh>

    How do these food banks decide who gets help? I bet most of the people who go to them are not poor, just after something for nothing.
