Not much between 8th and 14th, Fulham just had the edge over the rest.

Good point actually. If we didn't give away a 3 GOAL ****ING LEAD we would have been just behind them on GD.

Didn't Fulham not finish 3 points ahead of us last year, therefore meaning if we'd held on they'd still have been 1 point in front of us.

1* to you mate, if you remember Bolton looked as if they were running away with 8th in April and yet finished 14th, clearly showing the tight margin between all the teams (3 points in the end). Also if Bolton had won at Fulham on 27th April Bolton would have finished 8th and Fulham 12th ahead of us and Stoke on goal difference.

Yeah, but we beat them in the cup :p

Nah, Fulham are one of those teams who just seem it get it right, even without Zamora for a couple of months, they managed to keep consistent results!

Also, you could say what you said for about 5 different matches.

Fulham being my second team, its nice to see them receiving respect on the board..

I tend to agree with what everyone's said, they've had a strong core of players for several years now that are extremely organised and don't make a lot of silly mistakes. Their style of play makes the really tough to beat at home, and although they receive a lot of grief for their lack of wins away in past seasons, they do pick tend to still pick up a lot of draws. They are an ageing team, though they've made a concerted effort to try and pick up younger players in the past year or two -- Jol has come out in the media saying it's a priority, and I think their signing of Gecov is a decent start (it's too bad they never got anything out of Smalling before he went to Man U).

    Goalie > Harper/Krul
    Baird > Simpson
    Hangeland > Saylor
    Colo > Hughes
    Dempsey >=< Barton
    Tiote > Sidwell/Ethuhu
    Cabaye > Murphy
    Guti > Duff

I just think they are a boring team. They got into Europe by being boring, look at their disciplinary record.

Probably a lot more than 5 matches, but for me that game was the prime example. For me u were the unluckiest team to finish in the bottom 7 of the Premier League ever, but then u could have said that whoever finished 14th whether it was Stoke, Newcastle, West Brom or anyone else.

It was ironic to finish in the same position that we finished last season with a new manager (full season under Coyle compared to half) yet nobody (BWFC fans) are complaining about this, whereas last time, we all shouted 'Megson Out!' for half the season.<ok>

This goes to show how 'attractive football' can change someone's view so dramatically.
