He's spot on. He's not blind. I think he will walk away. Maybe this week, maybe of the club suggests a suitable replacement is read my to go. Given time, I still think he would turn it around but you have to earn that time and unfortunately the past few months have been awful. Injuries haven't helped but today we had a very strong team and a fairly strong bench.
Look on our threads, I'd have been over the moon with Giggs as manager. Trouble is, he's waiting for the Boring One to be fired at yours.
I will take your word for it. Still, when van Gaal goes, Giggs needs to go. So whoever comes in, brings their own team... As it should be. Having an assistant forced on you, especially one with such a vocal friend base, isn't helping anyone at all. That's clear for all to see. Plus what your suggesting makes him a snake. People don't like working with snakes so its a recipe for catastrophic failure.
We established this a while back. It's Giggs and the fans who are to blame. LVG is effectively a victim.
First, trying to emulate Stan is like trying to emulate Mr Bean. Give reading a go, its pretty simple stuff and is taught to children as young as 9 months old. Maybe its different in Wales? Second, no. I've said all along that its the fault of the collective. Being a team game there's not much evidence of team cohesion. Giggs is part of that team, the assistant manger no less. If van Gaals at fault, which he is, then guess what, his coaching staff also take the blame. It was a bad idea when it happened, Kluivert should have come with van Gaal. Even more so in hindsight, seeing as attacking is a problem... Anyway, possible managers will have seen it themselves. The likes of Jose or Pep won't have him as assistant, Jose has witnessed the power of the Old Boys club himself, at Real and Chelsea. Pepe has his people too.
Oh and if there is some truth to Giggs encouraging his pals to pile the pressure on, which has been touted in the media and by fans, then he is very much at fault. I don't believe it myself but some have made the claim and some have suggested they are happy with it, if true of course. Disclaimer - Attention Mr Bean and associates, I am not claiming Giggs undermined the manager with his media pals but that it had been suggested, probably by Mr Bean or an associate of his. If there is any truth, then Giggs is a problem. This post was made on Saturday, 19th December at 19:59. The weather is grim and its 6 days before Christmas. Incase Mr Bean needs to find it.
UIR, the way you've been crapping on in defence of LVG, using frankly laughable excuses, you have to expect to be ridiculed a bit now. You've been making a fool of yourself for weeks. It's clear that the penny's dropped and you now realise that.
I've been commenting for weeks how poor we have been. Yes, some things have an effect. Like injuries and should be taken into account but 3 losses on the bounce is a bit too much. He also looks broken, for the first time since he became manager and that's never a good sign. He may well keep his job, as the board isn't going to rush. They didn't rush with Moyes and things were much worse. Giggs isn't the answer, despite what one Swansea fan thinks. Jose could take over, but would many of us be happy? Sure we would have a laugh as he trounced Wenger and co every week but the freak show would get boring quickly. Our team be instantly smaller and our Acadamy permanently shut.... Which isn't great. Reports PEPs given up on football to, having agreed to go to City. I don't rate Ancelotti as much as some, always seems to be lacking but either way, he's off to Bayern apparently. So options may keep him in the job until the end of the season, which I don't have an issue with. By all accounts his work off the pitch is impressing the board big time. Revamped the acadamy, plans for a new complex and acadamy stadium. Hell, we might make him a director or football and have José anyway. As long as we have a plan, that is what's important.
Fine mate. Jose is allowed to work wherever he wants. He came back won us the title, left us with a strong Courtois-Zouma-Matic spine: I wish him good luck. Only club I would not really want him to go to are Spuds maybe
I like Jose, but he's not the right man anymore for me. However, knowing my track record, he will come on, win every game, play a team with an average age of 19, score 200 goals and win the treblish. I could accept that, reluctantly.
Yeah, course I did. But hey, I'm just a random old middle aged bloke who doesn't understand this modern football malarkey so what do I know?
Apparently so. He's so fed up of footballs he's quitting the game. He lost all faith when the PL winning manager was sacked when his players were to blame.
It looks like Pep is once again taking the easy option by going to Man City. Unlimited funds and a very strong squad. Utd having him would be a gamble too as he's never had to overhaul a squad, especially one that isn't dominating their respective league a la Barca and Bayern.
What a copout!!! He apparently decided to take the easiest option. I sure hope that's not why he's chosen City. It's sure as hell is about money and easier route to success than taking up a real challenge.
After adding a right winger and striker he would not have to touch Uniteds squad for 4/5 years. City on the other hand will need major changes in the next 2 years
But you were saying it was also the players' fault. So by that logic we need to get rid of the manager, the assistant, and all the players?? Are you serious??
