It should be about whether Depay and martial are what were needed for United. Whether they cost £30m or £100m is really secondary. Most of the profits are the GGs and United were well within the FFP. All this ****ing obsession with the money paid does nothing for me. It is the ****ness that's ****ing worrying.

LVG is a dead man walking and we've almost moved into the third era.

I don't understand what you mean by players have been sending messages for weeks. Are they sending this message by deliberately losing? Any player found doing that should have their contracts immediately terminated.

It's Christian making up over the top excuses for a team that have been playing poorly. I wouldn't read too much into what he posts tbh <ok>

Tell that to the board at Chelsea, plus it wouldn't be the first time - just think back to Moyes ....

I cannot see what conclusions can be drawn. However you look at it the players have been playing ****, either because of LVG or despite LVG. The message got clearer as time went by.

Ps: basic really. Don't listen to LVG. Look at how our players have been playing. That's the message.

We will crash and burn under Giggs. No doubt about it.

Chelsea shouldn't have any players left either.

He's resigned before, so don't see why not. He's retiring at the end of the day. Likely he will go on his terms, though ot could be mutual.

Of course he may stay and turn it around, or not. As long as Giggs isn't brought on I guess.

Someone jokingly suggested Jose could be in charge for the Chelsea game. How would you feel?

No point pretending otherwise. Two experienced managers, one who's won everything, struggled. Giggs who at his loudest, sounds like a mouse shouting though a miniature cone, isn't going to do very much. Once hard times hit, he will crumble.

Let's not forget, Giggs is a very active member of the coaching staff, so the problems lie very much at his feet as well as the managers. Anyone who expects giggs to rip it up and get us firing is delusional. If this was 4 games from the end, sure, what harm could it do. But its over half a season. Far too risky.

It seems like van Gaal may go, so the only option is José. Which isn't great as he's just nearly relegated Chelsea yet will have us firing? Hmmmm, doesn't add up. Otherwise, plod on and secure Pep's signature asap.

Do you actually watch your games? Giggs has been pissed off and looking embarrassed for the best part of 12 months on the bench. I'd guarantee should he become manager, he will rip up everything LVG done and deploy the similar type of football that Utd became accustomed to under Fergie.

Also why is Pep the saviour? He's had it easy at Barca, and easier at Munich in that his squads were virtually built for him.

    Absolute bollocks.

What you've just posted will relegate us. Rip up and start again in December. You tit.

Giggs should be sacked also, if van Gaal goes. Unfortunately, he's one constant between Moyes and van Gaal. Its not working at all.

Coming from the one poster who keeps defending LVG <laugh>

Why should Giggs be sacked? He's been brought in to learn under LVG, so all he has to do is forget everything he's done the last 16 months.

    LVG post-match -

What you have seen today is what a lack of confidence can do. It was not good enough and it was our first defeat at Old Trafford and that makes it remarkable. It is also confirmation that we are in a very bad period which we have to come out of. This is difficult or we would have done that today.
You have to win against Norwich City, you have to win every home match. The problem is how we come out of this bad period. That can be done when we stick together, not just the players, manager and staff but the fans - that is very important. Everything I say about the defeat is one word too much because the expectation is that we beat Norwich and we didn’t do that.
To show your professional attitude is the only way you can get our confidence back. Of course we have to evaluate what we have done today and how we have prepared for this match and so on. Tomorrow we shall do that as staff, as a team, to make it better for Stoke City in the next game, then the same for two days later against Chelsea. I am always evaluating myself because that is an aspect of my philosophy. In the 25 years of management I evaluate myself every day. I am not the same coach of 25 years ago and I always evaluate. This is why I am, or maybe I now have to say was, a very successful manager.
Yes I worry about my job because I know that belief in a manager is very important and when you lose the games, the belief in the manager will decrease. That is happening now. I cannot close my eyes to that.

ERM... Are you suggesting Giggs doesn't have a role and is merely there to take notes? So why is he assistant?

And then you say he should forget what he's learned and start again, because we've got 5 years, haven't we.

He would learn a hell of a lot more away from the club now. Neville took the plunge, so can Giggs. He will be better for it.

Remind me BTW, your views when Giggs was touted as Swansea manager. Didn't hear you jumping for joy so I will take what you say with a pinch of salt :)
