I can't remember the Fulham game, it wasn't too long ago, but for some reason he was recognised by fulham at a match where we played them. as he walked off, our fans gave him some stick. he gave some condescending bullshit back whuch incensed a few of our older fans. see ya Jimmy, yer cheating, chinny ****.
They knew we were losing, so let Bristol city back in who were 2-0 down to draw, and walked about the pitch for the last 15 minutes, knowing a draw would keep them both up and send us down. It is said they delibrity let city draw. Champaigne and laughs for them in the changing rooms. 20 years later the game at Spurs gets put back 30 mins ! and they stop up at our expense again. I detested Everton though more than Coventry and still do.
John Motson described him in three words they were different to my three" the cheating twat" where ever he has gone I hope all Sunderland fans who have died since that day are kicking the **** out of him the twat.
Yep. I agree Slightly concerned if they have a minutes silence. This could tar us badly. Although he was a ****.....imo
I really hope that this spreads, but I propose a minutes cheering in the 87th minute against Liverpool on the 30th (our next home game) . . . . that would be ****ing brilliant The problem with that, though, is that quite a lot will have already left by then Having said that, this idea might encourage people to stay until then to show their 'respects' to the absolute twat p.s. 'Sheels made it 20 wins in a row by beating Alnwick Town (who were dressed like skunks ) 4-1 this afternoon
RIP..........I sincerely hope not. I was at Everton that night and it was the longest drive home ever. Hope he rots in hell, arrogant cheating ****.
I was too, along with approximately 15,000 of us, who were all cheated by that arrogant bastard Long may his sole rot in hell
The business of Coventry throwing the game has become an urban myth based on inaccurate reporting. I was at Highfield 'road that night and there was huge congestion but the delay was not down to cheating but opening the main stand for fans off the terraces to move to safety. The game was at 2-2 when the Sunderland result was known ages before the tannoy announcement and with both teams safe they did what anyone would do and eased off. Not good for us but nowhere near the cheating that has lived for years.
You will not find a sunderland fan saying the cheating was anything to do with crowd congestion but if the tannoy announced the result 15 min before the end of the match and there was only a 15 minute delay how did the fans know ages before.
