The next few hours will tell - Bayern beat Hanover today and Pep did say that he would announce his future plans after the game .....................
We've been on poor form, I thought we would get through it and with the players returning today, should have been solid at the back, instead we looked like the team he took over. Clueless on defence, scruffy in attack. I would have given him January to get who he needs but I don't think he will now. Not with the changes in football this week, José , current champion, sacked. As crytex says, he should walk and leave with some dignity in his last job. Sadly that means we will get Jose who, while a great manager, isn't exactly the man to pick up this low confidence team and get then firing. I've also had barely any sleep so not on a great mood. The gane hasn't helped.
Was something said at half time? Giggs spent the second half in the technical area (first time this season) and looked to be taking control.
Agree. If you look at his signings, the majority are no better than what he kicked out. That's the problem, he's spent £300 million and the squad has not improved in overall quality.
So, here's the options; van Gaal walks, Giggs to season end and then Guardiola. Mourinho now. Van Gaal stays to end of season. I think it'll be the second but would rather the first.
He should have kept van Persie definitely and, with hindsight, Rafael as right back cover. Evans too maybe, but you couldn't really predict the injuries. I can see why he is clearing the decks but has gone a bit too far.
He is short full stop. United was always going to splash out huge amounts anyway. Whether 300m or even 500m. Who ****ing cares?
First option would be better. But that is only if we get to have Pep. If we don't have a shot at Pep, then you have to give Mourinho a shot now.
How can you spend £300 million and still be short? With this splash the cash mentality you're becoming a piss poor version of Man City. The fact is, you could sign Bale, Messi and Ronaldo and they'd be crap because the ball wouldn't be passed to them.
Giggs is not ready to manage United but he should take over as interim manager immediately and LVG stood down. It is now clear that the players have been sending a message over the last few weeks. Today's couldn't be clearer.
As things stand, even having a remote chance of getting Pep or Maureen isn't a bad situation to be in. There is a high probability that if we don't get one then we shall almost certainly get the other
