Nasty day for us, the 3 teams right above us are all winning - Norwich, Chelsea and Bournemouth. Quite possible that Newcastle will beat Villa later. We really are in **** Street.

18th place will probably be a dogfight , and we have 22games left .
My guess is Curtis will have us back on track by New Year and. I think Jenkins senses that .
That's why he seems to be not in a hurry getting someone in quickly , we looked pretty good last week and I suspect we'll see a relaxed and hungry Swan side tomorrow whoever takes the pitch . My worry departed with Monk .

Tomorrow is very much the "acid test". The Hammers are on a poor run also. If we can't beat them, then it is not only going to be a dogfight from then until end of the season, but we will find it difficult to attract our first, second or even third choice Manager.

If we win, then beat West Brom (they have 2 guys out on Boxing Day after red cards today) we could find ourselves sitting on 20 points - level with West Brom - and starting to build confidence and momentum.

Indeed, who would have thought player power could be so destructive, both Chelsea and ourselves have been victims but I really do hope our players are ashamed of what they have done, and get their miserable arses moving tomorrow.

There's an intriguing theory on Planet Swans, via the Blue Moon and CCMB boards, as to the "alleged" cause......

Lets just say our problems on the pitch may pale compared to off the pitch

I've just found the Dyer 'rumours'. Makes sense as to why they stopped playing for Monk and why Dyer got shipped out on loan.

Here is what has been posted by a member on this site.

    '
Ive been for a pint tonight with some Swans ITKs and this is the situation.
There is major drama there which as always comes down to women and money, on a few levels. Martin Morgan, a big shareholder, was bumming Nathan Dyers wife and it became knowledge. Shes left him, and Morgans mrs has left him. This is apparently knowledge because it has been cited in official uncontested court divorce papers filed in London. This was why Dyer got sold in the summer, and this is what has given the players the hump. Monk has had to come down on the side of the management and ownership, and this has annoyed the players more. Therein lies the problem of having an explayer as boss, they see him as one of theirs and he has had to become all corporate. He does not have the management respect in that respect.
As a result, the players are behaving like ****s. Like Ashley Williams kicking off publicly and Shelvey going home in a strop at being named sub
Huw Jenkins has no alternative other than to bring in someone who can try to get a grip on this, and has agreed with Garry Monk that a change is needed
He didnt want to do this today (or tuesday) as it was his big day, he has been up to Buck Palace to get an OBE and didnt want anything to overshadow that
He and Brenda have remained on very good terms and he has asked Brenda to come back and take over, and Brenda has kind of agreed. But Brenda is in family court himself this week in London finalising his own divorce from that thing he used to be married to. He is worried that he cant take a job at the moment as she will want some of the contract agreement.'

If true, and that's a big if , and Dyer was sent away for other that on field play , resignations should be in order imo .

I've only just heard of this. It explains why Dyer was loaned out (a very bizarre decision) and secondly it explains why we went from looking like world beaters v Utd and Chelsea to relegation fodder overnight.

Monk was put in an impossible position it seems.
