The point on Green is a fair one. What does he do that Smithies can't? It's got to the point that we're so far into the season that below par players (Green, Perch, Konchesky, Henry) almost have to be picked because others (Furlong, Doughty, Smithies etc.) haven't had much game time if any.
A good read and nice to re-live those 100 minutes. It was life the draw against Derby in 2010/11 when we were 2 nil down and Mackie eqalised with the last kick of the game. Let's hope this draw augers as well as that one did.
IMO, this was far better than the 2-2 at Derby. In that match we had been outplayed for 90 minutes. On Tuesday we desrved a draw at the very least. I also thought it was more deserved than the 3-2 comeback against Liverpool (and probably West Brom). I base this on the overall performance we gave, rather than just for a short period.
I also enjoyed Poulters cameo appearance. I've only seen him play once, at Yeovil, which wasn't much of a contest, but he did what was needed against Brighton.
