Well said Ristac and can assure you that there's no need to apologise to me. Nothing untoward was said
No need to apologise, matey. I never even realised that you'd snapped, Richard. I'm married, so don't notice these things I am standing back from this & refuse to take sides, as I said earlier. I like to think I'm on the side of common sense, but realise that's easy when you're not embroiled in it. But just before I sign off, can I say that Mike used the plural of distractors / detractors. I understand that you'll probaby still think that it's aimed at you, but it's not solely aimed at you. Not sure if that helps in any way, just put it down to me joining the Grammar Police.
Not getting involved. I've already made my good sense comment on the first line. Very easily over-interpreted if you want it to be.
Is there room on the fence for me as well wj. Whether it'll support the two of us is an entirely different matter
I refer the honourable gentleman to the Wembley crossbar in 1977. Fences / crossbars are not all they're cracked up to be!
I'll bring you a few splinters back from Paris if Mrs Eire lets me go. She's worried I might get blown up but I reassured her by explaining there wouldn't be enough explosives
Mrs Eire let him go...... Pleeeeaaaaassssseeeee. You even more than the rest of us deserve a break from him. If you get really lucky he might not come back.
More likely get blown up to 30st due to excessive alcohol consumption. And then if you win any games .....
Afternoon 60. Been reading these sorts of posts for years (as we never actually reach the top 6) but I guess it depends if you base it on the results against Hull & Wolves or the one point we got from two of the teams in the bottom three. Duke has had one good game so let's see how things for him and results pan out over the next few matches rather than knee jerk to one result be that either good or bad. Bridcutt is 26 by the way and will be a big miss as Sunderland seem intent on selling him to Brighton. He has that little bit of nastiness that our midfield has been missing. No way would we get him + 3 mil for Bryam when Sam is out of contract in the summer. In fact I think Sam might be here for the season and go for compensation when his contract expires as that will increase his wages, and good player as he is, is he really so good that he could change / rescue a prem clubs season? I think prem teams are far more likely to take a punt on him when they can get him cheaper.
