    oh ffs!!
The first one was barely watchable, and that was only because it had Jackie Chan in it.
Also, Jackie Chan doesn't do Karate, he does Kung Fu.
The film is set in China ffs, Karate is Japanese!

    lol
Most of the best movies and TV shows come from America, they rule in that respect, if nothing else. (Their government, their laws all grotesque).
We produce the best actors here, but for writers, producers and directors, and networks who will give a **** about a show, America is the place.

As a story, I preferred 2010. Loved the scene when they 'braked' in Jupiter's gravitational field, and Helen Mirren was still shaggable in those days. And Hal at the end "Will I dream?". Still brings a bigger lump to my throat than Bambi's mum getting shot (but not as much as the final scene of Madeline - sentimental old git that I am).

Was that James Corden off-key on TFI Friday then, was it the clarinet, or was it both?

Crossing my fingers that I agree. 10 days till I watch it.

Even with all the positive reviews I find it hard to believe JJ Abrams could produce something that didn't stink.

Not familiar with that film. Super 8 to me is a cheapo hotel chain. <ok>

I liked the Star Trek reboot tbh. Both films were excellent. The third looks a pile of poo though sadly :(
