Would dearly love to know from Barney how strong or otherwise the view of the county set is on Alan King's Winner Massagot. English handicaps aren't something I'm too clued up in but this lad went into the memory bank the last day and seems fairly weighted. Big shout out to Ron for updating these threads with everyone's horses to follow. I'm sure I speak for everyone on that, it must be quite a task. Gwaaannn Ron
Beefy I backed him during the week 7/1 Ew.Was very impressed with the manner of his C&D victory in November.Still think he is running off a nice weight and should go very well for an inform trainer. Stick do you fancy Pendra in 3.00?
Thanks beefy but it's no problem for me. I'm registered as a Timeform user. I entered all the selections into My Timeform. I just log into Timeform select My Timeform, click on the Next Race column to sort them into Next Race order. Copy and paste into thread any that are entered that day. Then for each one click the horse name and copy and paste the Future Entries (thereby picking up any future engagements at the same time). I also get reminded by email, in case I forget. Results are emailed too but normally I get these the same way (ie from My Timeform but sort on Previous Race) immediate;ly after the race, . Even then I missed one of Nass's wins (but picked it up later). It all helps to keep my brain ticking over
Greetings from my Hospital bed - bike accident with a broken arm. All about Thisrlecrack in the Long Walk i had a lumpy bet at 9/4 earlier this week. Have a new iPhone 6s so will watch the Race from the Hospital
Cheers Bob my arm is a right ****ing mess with all sorts of screws and rods sticking out of it, next op tues or Weda then hopefully home for xmas
Hope your arm gets better but tomorrow is all about SAPHIR DU RHEU on the way to the World Hurdle the pain of Thistlecrack losing should soften the pain of your arm!! I too have had a lumpy bet (all in all) got the 15/8 and took the 2/1 today too
Best of luck Oddy. Look at the bright side, you'll not be asked to help out much in the kitchen over Christmas with a broken wing
Hope the old bones knit well soon Oddy . I suppose you can now empathise with our jump jocks and the treatment and recovery proceedures they endure.
It's Reve De Sivola's World Hurdle tomorrow so i'd rather take 4/1 on him than less than 2's the front two. I think he's the percentage play. Match fit after a run out in France a month or so ago, he's won the last three runnings of this race and absolutely loves the combination of course, trip and conditions. I don't think either of these two are as good as Zarkandar and he beat him last year so i don't really see any reason why he can't win on Saturday and complete the 4 timer.
I reckon Bet Victor have under priced Mic Milano in 2.45 at Fairyhouse 11/2.Still carries a nice weight based on last run and should definitely place. Hope the operation goes well Oddy and you have a nice Christmas
Houblon Des Obeaux in the Silver Cup at Ascot. Harry Skelton legs it from Haydock to get aboard Zarib in the Ladbroke. 2 singles and an ew double. Could be a good day for the Skeltons as they have some fancied horses in the early races up North.
