Sorry to hear that TJ. Agreed that taking the cash round about that date is the best plan. I'm just not sure who's local enough to do that at the minute. Nowt for you to worry about though. You've done your bit mate.
If it's in Sunderland and you give me the information, I will 'do the honours' . . . . I want to 'pop in' anyway 'cos I've got some stuff that I'd like to give them
Can't see on the site how to ask for the cash earlier than the usual 30-day run. If necessary, I could front the cash early before I get my mitts on it, although I don't know what the webpage charges are going to be?
A bit of tinkering on the net suggests you can't draw the funds until the 30 days lapses, just spoke to just giving, they take 5% of the funds raised and 1.3% credit/debit card fees, so the Charity will receive 93.7% of whatever we raise collectively. Usually these fees are covered by the gift aid contributions, but since this was our first shot, we didn't do it that way... so we learn for next time. You don't have to front the money Sid, we can just tell the charity we didn't know how it worked and they'll have the funds as soon as we can draw them. They'll have a lot of people coming in over the festive period anyhow, including new year time.
If they use Gift Aid, I could pay it to them under the scheme so they can claim an extra 25% from the tax man? I'd beef up my contribution for the higher rate relief I'd get as well, as I don't want to be profiting from the exercise.
Confused me mate, you do what you think is best Sid, I trust you'll have their best interests at heart. You've been top banana with this, much appreciated
Looking good lads, topped 4 ton. Must be a few more lads who can have one less pint this weekend and chuck £3 in the pot? Let's try and get to 200% of the target!
Ha Ha, forgot about this. Yeah I checked my account and it hadn't left for whatever reason, I'll do it again soon, just getting my tea On a serious note lads, I really do keep needing poked about things, because since that, my memory isn't what it was. Thanks
Just watching Text Santa on the tele, makes me happy that we've done this lads (and Jerry) because there's hundreds of people out there set for a horrible Christmas and we've hopefully gone some way to making sure that's one or two less. Awesome.
