How many times do you keep chopping and changing the question ? You're pissing in the wind HIAG.

    I think it's time I asked you a question.

How can I be a 'Wenger apologist' and be 'Wenger out' at the same time, as you have claimed both ?

Didn't Bobby Charlton make some remark about Mourinho not being the type of manager Man Utd would want.?

Nope for reasons stated on the Chav board. Brand is too important to the Glazers.

He certainly doesn't 'fit' with their ethic, but at the moment with LVG taking them nowhere, they might be tempted to try and get him. With Pep being available though as well, there could well be a manager merry-go-round.

I agree we are treading water with LVG but I'd rather he took us nowhere ie top 4 than Jose coming in, ripping the internal fabric to shreds, alienating all the playing and non playing staff and dragging us into the bottom half of the table just to get another gargantuan pay off.

This latest humiliation has shattered his credibility and it means he can never dominate a dressing room or a club again. He'll no doubt try to but the inevitable implosion will just happen sooner.

I think you're right. It isn't the first time it's happened and it probably won't be the last. In some ways it's a shame, because he's clearly a talented coach, but his ego just means he presses the self destruct button. In other ways, it's ****ing hilarious, because he provides so much to laugh at. It couldn't have happened to a nicer club than Chelsea to be honest, they were a match made in ****y heaven.

I'm wondering if Chelsea are going to regret this sooner or later. It's been pretty clear what's been going on there for a long time; that there was a serious breakdown in relations between the manager and some of the players. I say some of the players because,if you've watched any of their recent games, the culprits are not hard to spot! I suppose we shouldn't go pointing accusatory fingers, so for the sake of argument, we'll call them Hazard & Ivanovich!, to not name but two.

Problem is, who's to blame? Manager, players? Both?? I can well believe that Mourinho has maybe gotten too arrogant and dictatorial. However, if a manager feels that a player isn't playing as well as he could, or could do some things better, surely it's the manager's job to point that out to those players? It seems that nowadays certain players have gotten far too powerful and influential. These types don't want to hear that they're not performing properly, or could do better. As far as they're concerned, they're superstars, gods almost.

It seems as if, in this case, a proportion of blame lays on both sides, though I thought it's very interesting to read the views of former top pros, who almost universally lay the blame at the player's door.

At the end of the day it's easier for a club to dismiss a manager than star players. It's just troubling that certain players have that much power and influence nowadays that they can effectively get rid of any manager who they feel isn't treating them with due deference.

  15. PIXIE, here is a message to you (and the other Wenger apologists) from Tony Pulis:-

    West Brom's Tony Pulis:
"He's the greatest manager in this league at the moment.
"We have managed against each other for a bit. He has been very good to me. I am disappointed. I thought they would see it out. When managers don't do well, it is lovely to see clubs stick with them and then see the manager get through that sticky patch.
"I am a little bit disappointed Chelsea have not stuck with him. But who am I to criticise them? The big thing is that at all the top clubs in Europe, managers will be looking over their shoulder because one of the great managers is now available again. The times I have spent with him, he is a different character. He is very funny and has a good sense of humour. He is good company.
"My little grandson came to the game last year. Mourinho was kicking around with him before the game and chasing after him.
"As a Premier League you want the best managers, the best foreign players and the best English players. He is, without doubt, one of the best managers. Losing him is not good for the league."
    (BBC Football website)

Would you care to comment, Pix?

That is all I am asking.

You could do a CFC and claim a bite or better still post a picture of a fisherman. That always proves that you've wound the other person up! Or just high five your colleague sat next to you on reception!
