Just wait until my man Matty James is back and playing. The title is a realistic target if they can get him back to form.
AKCJ is now the time to act like a "insert suitable insult".? Enjoy your season and stop acting up. Take some beta blockers. Most on here are pleased Leicester are upsetting the PL status quo.
Well done. They scored 106 goals in 29 matches which was some scoring rate! Played in those days as Small Heath until season 1904/05 when they played as Birmingham. Post WW2 played as Birmingham City. Now you can supply a bit of help for' tigerscanada' as he seeks another 6 teams that have scored 100 goals or more in consecutive league seasons.
Never crossed my mind to consider lower divisions. Why did they play an odd number of matches ? Cup games involved ?
15 teams in the competition so they played 28 games. Finished first in Div 2 and, as OT explained in Post 128, played a team from the bottom of Div 1(Darwen) to give the 29th match. They won to get promotion unlike the previous season when they finished top but lost in the play off match with the Div 1 bottom side, so remained in Div 2.
Simply not going to happen, we'd beat Barca, that Messi bloke wouldn't have a chance against Davies, he's too short.
Can't we get back to the good old days of talking about Leicester because their players did something daft off the pitch? please log in to view this image
I'll give you a start on the other 6 teams as you have mentioned one in previous posts. EVERTON. Achieved during the Dixie Dean era in seasons 1930/31 and 1931/32 - finished Div 1 Champions in those seasons. Scored 126 and 116 goals and have not had another season where they have reached 100.
How is it embarrassing ? Not my fault that You're a clueless dimwit. Good to see your fellow dimwits gave you a like.
I've just seen a video of all 15 of Vardy's premier league goals this season, first time I've seen most of them. Granted a few seconds of video clip is no judgement of a player but in each of those clips he looks a totally transformed player from the donkey of old. Got to say he does look the real deal and they're all 15 very good goals. Maybe one of the big clubs just might take a punt in January.
Hi BMB, Everton were Div 2 Champs in 30/31 and then Div 1 Champs in 31/32. Here are some more back to back 100 goal seasons: Bradford Park Avenue 25/26, 26/27 and 27/28 in Div 3N Manchester City: 26/27 and 27/28 in Div 2 Stockport County: 28/29 and 29/30 in Div 3N Sheffield Wednesday 29/30 and 30/31 in Div 1 Aston Villa 30/31 and 31/32 in Div 1 Lincoln City 30/31 and 31/32 in Div 3N Tranmere Rovers 30/31 and 31/32 in Div 3N Coventry City 31/32, 32/33 and 33/34 in Div 3S Wrexham 32/33 and 33/34 in Div 3N I haven't looked at the post 2nd World War years yet.
It embarrassing because you seem to think they need your advice; have you seen their position, points a GD? Sometimes well done is about all it takes.
OT. Here are others post WW2. MAN. UTD. 58/59 and 59/60- Div 1 DERBY. 55/56 and 56/57- Div 3N IPSWICH. 55/56 and 56/57- Div 3S BURNLEY. 60/61 and 61/62- Div 1 Bradford Park Ave and Coventry with 3 consecutive 100 goal seasons were great finds. Coventry also achieved 4 in 5 seasons when they scored 100 in season 35/36. I believe Manchester City hold the current record for the most times a team has scored 100 or more goals in a league season( 6). Thanks for helping out 'tigerscanada'.
Amazing to think that Man Utd scored 100 goals in the two seasons following Munich. But Wolves won the league.
