Stay safe people.... Stay safe... Are many of you guys out? My thoughts particularly go out to poor JPF hsving to go out in Sunderland and mix it with the Pennywell kings and queens.
having worked in the hotel and bar trade for the last 30 odd years this is the start of the amateur season, people who have not set foot in a pub for the last 12 months will with grand ignorance endeavour to get served and be a pain in the arse at the busiest time of year, I am always reminded of the rather posh lady wandering into the high volume high street boozer that I ran in Surrey in the late 90's whilst working for Whitbread, after a discussion with a member of staff she left exclaiming how utterly useless we were, I asked the member of staff what was it all about and she told me that she was upset because we did not have a Sherry Menu!!! I personally go out early doors if at all these days as I prefer the gentle afternoon session with mates before the nutters come out of their hiding places, too many years dealing with the **** from the working side of serving alcohol.
FFS why so much doom, gloom and negativity man lads. I'm out in town, its our xmas party this afternoon. I'm out all day, with a special outfit to boot. I'm going to get enjoy myself. I'll try to behave in terms of the ladies as I have to these days. Otherwise anything goes. As a seasoned drinker I'm sure I will pace it just right but it is likely I'll be smashed by close of playtime. Get out and about, enjoy yourselves.
It's not actually me mate im a bit more battle worn than this guy Money for nothing chicks for free Seriously wear a suit like this in town and stupid sluts will be after you all night. For me id wear it to wash my car or do the lawns

I was there 1999 to end of 2001 when Whitbread sold off all the pubs, funny place very posh but with a fair few chavs and pikeys, always had someone wanting to be trouble and too many drugged up idiots, big problem with the drugs, I even had to bale out my Assistant Manager who got himself into trouble with a dealer and was facing some physical retribution as he couldn't pay up, should have let him swing as he never paid me back fully, had to sack him though as he was screwing the stock and money from the safe as well, cost me about £3k in the end covering it all. No fond memories there.
