    I will happily wait for it's release on DVD, I have a big tv and Bose Acoustimass surround sound system, I get very bad back pains trying to stay sat in a cinema seat and really can't stand the arseholes you get in them as well, seriously lose my temper with the munching, chattering and phone twats that piss around during a film, I can put my feet up, drink some chilled wine and enjoy the film at home.

    I also saw the 3D version at the Gate tonight. It was really good but I found the 3D really distracting at times and that cinema isn't as nice as the Odeon at the Metrocentre - haven't been to the Gate or a 3D film for years and now I remember why. I will probably go again in a couple of weeks and watch the 2D version at the Odeon. Daisy Ridley was excellent in it I thought.

    I was there too. The 8.30 showing. Jesus, it was just such a fantastic film. Those prequels can now do one.

    Me too!

    I don't like to dismiss the prequels completely, as there are lots of good bits but they are spoiled by irritating characters, heavy use of CGI, tiresome fight scenes, some poor dialogue and some hammy acting. Was discussing this with my mate tonight and I think we both agreed that the main characters were badly cast with mostly wooden actors. But you can't just dismiss them as there are lots of background stories that helps fill in characters' histories for the original trilogy and some of the action is really good - Yoda vs Count Dooku fight scene at the end of Ep II, for example.

    I'm sure it would be an improvement. I don't think he's involved with Ep VIII or Ep IX though unfortunately.

    The lightsaber battles are the only good bits about the prequels. Those 3 films should have focused much more on Obi Wan rather than Anakin.
    I am happy to say thought that This Force Awakens is awesome. If you liked the tone of the IV-VI then you'll like this.
