Anyone doing 3D at the cinema with Star Wars? Cant help thinking that might actually ruin the film. I'm about to book it atm but will just stick to 2D

    nope 2d for me.

i cannot see where 3D will improve star wars.

say ok the opening scene of the first ever movie.. that would be awesome in 3D coming in over your head... otherwise? ships going into hyper space... the sword fights might be ruined by it... I like 2d better as its brighter.

The first film was a proper script. A fairy tale if you will. Classic good v evil. The second was a darker film. Very good.

The third was obviously phoned in with a very samey story line. You could tell hammall was a fat **** in it and aged badly too.

But then the 3 Lucas cgi messes. Yes terrible.

However..... Gerrez likes lost so this new star wars will blow his tiny mind if he bothers to open it.

Lol..over the six films they managed to reference greek, roman and japanese mythology. They include the main broad ideas of the worlds religions and some major philisophical discussions regarding loss, grief and redemption . They dip seriously into the dangers of the rise of facism and threats to complacent societies from within themselves.

All wrapped up in childrens movies classified PG and under?

Dialogue is of course terrible because Lucas is a self admitted visual film maker who sees dialogue as merely utilitarian. I personally disagree with him and think a little more effort in this area could have made them even better.

But again, as kids films they deal with some seriously weighty issues without terrifying them but entertaining them....

Loved them as a child and as well as nostalgia i appreciate them more as films as an adult...

Except for the big petulent child Lucas became regarding sticking things in later just to put two fingers up to the fans that made him billions.

The prime example: fans complain about the Darth Vader "Noooooo" in episode 3 so he goes back in his final revision of episode 6 and sticks a "Nooo" into the Vader kills Emperor scene..it was much more powerful with no dialogue and Im glad I have a version without it.

Also glad that he has **** all to do with the franchise anymore....other than his visual effects companies...

    1. Light that ****ing cigarette dammit

    2. He is ageing badly ... looks like a meth head who lives in a trailer and hardly goes out

    3. Weird how his body movements and gestures and speech are still just like in the original films ... obvs it's him so genetically embedded in him and likely to be fairly similar, but he really didn't go anywhere as an actor or develop at all did he !!
