I think the way those players tanked games in order to ensure his demise was a total disgrace, and highlights everything that's wrong with the modern game.

I've no great sorrow for Mourinho himself, but the mere fact that this can happen to one of the best in the game, shows just how twisted the game has become. It's now ruled by these multi millionaire beauts, who decide to down tools if their fragile little egos take a knock.

Abramovich is a flange for falling for it yet again. He should have told the ****s he's there to stay and bombed out the dissenters in that dressing room.

 

It's valued at £826m, so he's not done that bad like

 

For me.... basically it's easy play within yourself and make the guy untenable cos there is no punishment

All it takes is 2/3 not bothering to go do the dirty work tracking and working and it all goes to pot.

There's no penalty for these beauts, the 'worst' that happens is another lucrative move to another football club.

This is where you end up when you start paying wages of £6/7m a year, launching some of these ****wits into the land of the uber rich.

 

Fun fact: in his entire management career Mourinho has never lasted more than 3 years at a single club. Thats 6 clubs, 7 management stints and never more than 3 (and a bit) seasons.

 

And only been sacked twice...

 

Mourinho is an Arsehole of the first order. all this bollox of been the best manager of his generation is utter ****. he goes into a club, spends ****loads of money then ****s off as the team starts to fall apart. he has never built a club and evolved it, its splash the cash then **** off. he was disliked in Italy when he left and the same in Madrid.

its PSG next for him then a big paypacked in Dubai or China.

so, that's another six years work.

but where in Germany? I very much doubt Bayern will have him and I don't think he'll go to a club that'll never have a chance to finish first.

 

Dortmund, they had a squad that could have won the league last year with a better manager

 

Because there is only France and Germany of the big nations left

A lot of similarities. Now I'm not saying Clough was the same as Mourhino (I for one have more respect for Clough) but I don't think this player disloyalty and causing trouble for the manager is a new thing or about the pay packet. It's as always, about personalities and ego.

It seems to me that just baout every top club in europe could be changing manager. Guardiola and anchelotti should have thier pick!

LFC are lucky (or possibly waited for klopp to be ready) they chucked rodgers and got klopp as he SEEMS to be a guy who won't just say right i've now got the bayern off i'm off and take the pay off lfc.

If I were any english club I would be worried about getting a top manager this summer.

I find this fascinating and can't wait so wee how everything falls

I think honestly its hard to tell back then.

the players themselves were severely unhappy with the movie the damned united and felt it was plain wrong.

for me... there are stories clough alienated everyone before they even kicked a ball so its a bit different to mourinho having a league title in his pocket and the guys who won it then turning up not wanting to repeat the trick.

I do agree though there is an element of this all down the years. my era of late 80s/90s you can see it. souness for example got the legs cut form under him by not only bad buys but also senior players being too old and too full off themselves

the thing is now... tobes is right, a guy i nthe past could be ruined by a manager but these days he'll sit out a vast contract (winston bogarde for example, enrique at lfc) or he'll get an even better deal to move... like stelring.

Sterling mugged rodgers off every time he took the field from january last year. his reward was a 200k per week contract at city.

Hazard will move to real this summer and go the same.

If the leeds board had only say giles as the problem not bremner too... would that have just broke giles? maybe who knows.... but you could break a guy back then.

 

wonder if Maureen deliberately gets chopped at each club to pocket the pay off, certainly maximises his earning potential. Hope Utd get him the eventual fall out and collapse would be very funny, but I am sure he would do OK for them short term. Unless he does a Clough/Leeds thing which would be really good.
