. Instead of worrying about the best offer we could get for him next season, we should be planning for the season ahead, with one of the worlds best young left backs in our team.[/QUOTE]

I wouldn't go that far, he's very good and he will be a big miss if he leaves tho.
I'm just fed up with whole situation now to be honest. The club have 'reportedly' made him a brilliant offer and he doesnt want to sign. If he doesnt want to be here get rid IMO. No player is bigger than the club. Newcastle united will still be here if Jose leaves.

Hardly an insult. Just basically a suggestion to MTFU. HMT's comment obviously was intended as a joke and you wanted to know how to complain about it. Whatever, Im here to talk about NUFC not argue with you. Sorry you were so offended by my original post.

True Smudge the sad fact is tho joses departure has been on the cards since January and no plan b as i keep calling it [taylor from swansea was never going to be an ideal like for like replacement
If we, sorry when we sell jose then the price we will have to pay for his replacement will be higher as transfers nomally have a knock on effect.
he needs to replace before we sell SIMPLES.
I real rate jose but he is replacable

I disagree here, within reason. Jose is virtually irreplaceable for us because we don't have the financial clout or the Champs League appeal to attract someone of a similar quality. It's not like we're replacing a CM or CB, dedicated LBs are hard to find and there are very few better than Jose around at the moment.

Jose is great at both attacking AND defending, which is something that is hard to come by in full-backs. I would keep him, and who knows, if we do better than expected over the course of the season, it'll show him that we're heading in the right direction and might just persuade him to sign that contract. It's a long shot, I know, but I tend to agree with HMT that another season with Jose is probably more valuable than selling him now and bringing in someone like Bridge.

I honestly can't see us bringing in a LB that will hold a candle to Enrique.

  8. Exactly, which i why we should hold on to him for as long as we can.
