We won't go up via the play-offs if we don't make the automatic, and people should be more concerned about that because if we don't go up this year it could be years before we do go back up if ever. Blind faith is useless when confronted with harsh realities, under Bruce the team is going missing in matches when it counts, and if it's a play-off match that won't be any different. Nobody will be complaining if we do get back in the top two so it's up to Bruce to prove the doubters wrong
That thing about being ' True fans' is nonsense really, maybe the true fans are the ones who stand up and be counted instead of settling for second best when it's going wrong?
That's not fair though, you're suggesting that being critical of something about your team makes you less of a fan. Why can't you be pragmatic and a football fan? People blame the manager because he is responsible for the team? If he takes the plaudits when we do well, he should come under criticism when we don't, you can't have your cake and eat it.
He's struggling to motivate us at the minute and get the best out of players who should be too good for this league..... He's got problems
Yes, people can support a team however they want. I think this year could be tougher than last time round when we got in the top 2 by the end because other teams were messing things up as much as us. Confident attacking teams have a better chance now.
If we can get teams on the back foot from the start like we should be doing we will go up automatically, it's down to Bruce getting the tactics right from the start and not relying other teams falling away and getting players injured. His substitutions today got us the win it has to be said but the first half was a disgrace
Clearly didn't motivate us for the second half did he? After the shocking 1st half I would have taken a draw but credit to SB for getting stuck into the players and to the players for the way they responded. Bruce in.
Moyes, Clarke & just about anyone else who's been mentioned, none have successfully done the job at this level!
That's up to the Allams to work out. But surely there must be some manager who understands tactics and motivation and doesn't just get blinded by his favourites. It was a huge risk keeping him on, even Bruce said he was surprised so he obviously thought there could be replacements.
The thing is why don't they start like that, let's not get carried away it was better in the 2nd half but surely you don't expect him to have to keep giving them the hairdryer treatment every week to get them going
Not at all - the 1st half was abysmal and we could easily have been more than 1 goal behind at HT. Maybe the players have to look at their own attitude and commitment at the start of games? Maybe SB should give his HT team talk before kick off
The second half performance was more to do with Reading inviting us onto them. If we'd gone forward like we did at the end in the first half we'd have been ripped apart on the break, their forwards had our number completely.
