http://metro.co.uk/2015/12/16/arsen...ea-players-in-front-of-cesc-fabregas-5569078/ Thierry goes for Chelsea ‘I think a bad season for Chelsea is finishing fifth, for me,’ he said. ‘They’ve lost nine games already. I never thought I would have said that. I just don’t get it. ‘I always try to defend players to an extent, but I’m sorry, with the quality in that team, however you play, 4-4-2, 4-3-3, 4-5-1, at what point can you not beat Bournemouth, Crystal Palace – no disrespect to any of those teams. ‘Yes you can have a go at the boss, but I think you can also have a massive go at the players at the moment. Both of them together are in a situation that I actually don’t know about because I’ve never been in that situation. ‘We had a bad season at Arsenal but we managed to finish sixth or fifth. We were always there, never past the 10th position. ‘It’s time for the players to be professional about it. ‘Where is your pride?’ Its an interesting interview and watching Fabs all quiet while Henry was dishing it out. To be honest, there isn't much you can disagree with and Fabs was thinking the same thing...
You can't really argue with that - especially when you look at the squad Chelsea have compared to the squads of the teams around them in the league! But it's also interesting comparing how Mourinho is reacting now to how Moyes reacted, and how Wenger reacted when we've languished in the league after bad starts - I don't remember either of Moyes and Wenger being so negative about everything, or trying to pick fights with everyone, or refusing to accept any responsibility for the situation they were in. And obviously with Wenger in particular we always at least made it to 4th place, even if it was on the last day, and Moyes only sunk as low as 7th.
To be honest, Maureen has been moaning from the get go, so his behaviour started from the Charity Shield. But Chelsea not only has one of the best teams in the league but in Europe. They have one of the most complete teams, even more so than us. But it beggars belief how they are languishing near the bottom. You could pick a player and they could slot into one of the top sides in the world. To be honest, half of their team could get into ours, and this is one of our best teams in quite some time!
This is the team that lost to Leicester on the weekend. 13 Courtois 02 Ivanovic 05 Zouma 26 Terry (Fàbregas - 53' ) 28 Azpilicueta 07 Ramires 21 Matic 22 Willian 08 Oscar (Remy - 65' ) 10 Hazard (Pedro - 31' ) 19 Diego Costa Sorry but those players are damn fine and even those three subs are better than everything Leicester have, barring maybe Mahrez. On paper, dear I say, it's better than every team except City, who are on par.
Totally agree, it's embarrassing for that team to be where they are. To think that with arguably the best keeper in world (at least top 3) and the best defensive unit in the league from last season with zouma - one of the top 10 cb prospects in Europe, added to hazard, costa and william in particular us crazy (though I think oscar is an under rated no10 as well)
He's clearly lost the dressing room. There's no other feasible reason for them to be playing so badly.
Is anyone else surprised that wenger hasn't sent any digs mourinho's way I knew he had class but I doubt I could resist if I was wenger
I think it just shows the difference between mourinho and Wenger, Wenger is far too classy to do things like that unless he's directly asked by a report. That's the only thing about Wenger, he never seems to dodge a direct question from a reporter...
Yes Wenger is too classy to throw personal digs in. He is a professional and actually sticks up for his fellow professionals, even if they are sh1ts.
