Watford, there are a lot more things I would like to know rather than finding out why Warnock is not our manager!
Firstly, keep it up Mr Ted! You're asking the questions that most of us have thought of, but without the benefit of seeing the team. I reckon we should have all pull a few quid and get you a half season ticket for Christmas fellow. As for the question. My thoughts are that JET lacks a bit of sharpness and confidence of late. He's looked a fraction off the pace. I was both surprised and thrilled with his winner against Bolton, and he proved a point. I do however agree that Polter is a greater nuisance. And he has evidenced this on the few occasions that he's been sparingly used.
The most obvious reason is that Neil's wife Sharon has just been diagnosed with cancer, perhaps he and the club realised he could not give the job 100%… It is also unclear if Neil truly wanted the job, especially with Les around (too many cooks). The board looked at a dozen people, interviewed 3 I heard. They chose JFH. Who so far has been outstanding, with what he has said, what the players have said....and what I have seen with my own eyes on the pitch. I am currently well content. Please can we get off "I wish Neil was our manager" He isn't get over it.. And I suspect and hope...we have hit the jackpot
It's taken a lot for me to accept JFH. The clincher being an article written long before he was linked with the role. And I'm slowly accepting that - for all the right reasons - his appointment is the best in the long term. It was very telling that Ali Faurlin mentioned Neil Warnock in his post match interview. Implying a transition started by him and continued by JFH - referring loosely to a change in terms of the footballing ideology. In my mind this was both a nod to the impact of Neil Warnock's return and a small dig at Chris Ramsey's ineptitude. I too thought the best option would be to retain Neil Warnock until May, then make a permanent appointment, considering all options, including retaining him. I now think that a combination of his wife's ill health, an unbalanced power struggle with Sir Les, coupled with a fear that JFH would be snatched by another, meant that the club had to be decisive and make a tough choice. In reality, this has given Sir Les 'a life' to prove his second choice is better than his first. Interesting too to hear that Chris Ramsey might have a part to play somewhere else in the club. Whilst it's sentimental, I'm not sure that's the right approach.
And of course we can safely ignore Colin's frequently repeated assertion that he was not interested in a full time return to management because he's such a big fibber.
regarding poulter i think he might be a fantastic cente half in the same sort of vein of alan macdonald but up front he just cant finish where as jet with his prolific goalscoring has proven him self as a goalscorer so lets bring on the jet
What I said before the game, and Fer was mediocre again. But he does give us power, and he did some good work in the air at the back Cheri probably could not provide.
yes but why didnt warnock get the job,no im joking lads but i anit over it yey but a six nil thrashing of uor next oponents wouldnt go amiss with jet getting all six goals that would be a great day,and watford r stop winding me up about warnock,if i mention warnock again to my wife brian shes going to divorce me
