You have to book in advance with the big films or they'll sell out.

It was terrible last year and annoyed me but there you go. I watched only one season of tyrant for example it was woeful too. I just started this season and you know it started "ok" it was a bit different setting and approach but it quickly went down hill.

each week so far there's been a DOH moment and then it might just pull itslef back a bit but it's been a struggle. at this point its so freaking bad I hope the terrorists win.

its that and the fact I don't like

    a) zombies
    b) z list super heros
    c) dont have netflix so we were out of shows to watch when it came back on.

I would say yes. one of the VERY VERY worst ever at this point. its actually so poorly done and could have been really good but it makes out everyone to be so stupid, flip flops every 5 mins etc. The basic plot they had outlined, setting and new cast could have been 1000 times better if thye'd sharpened it up, made it more professional and not gone for pure convenience at times.

one was old style "drop boxes" for giving the guy who was in last series hits to go on as targets round berlin who were jihadi.... a letter box and use the bearded guy sual who is head of CIA europe or something. that was like WTF.. come on. in a public place in effect.

then they have another episode where said saul is accused of working for mosad (lazy due to name) then they put a team on him to follow him and he is able to basically walk fast through the hotel kitchens hop in a taxi and meet the carrie character... again WTF.

finally... the cia guy ends up trying to jump off a bridge cos he was shot and would somehow give carrie away and a muslim walks up who happens to be a doctor, saves him then he ends up with a group of isis... like WTF...

its pure and utter unrealistic when it could have been dark, filled iwht drama and intrigue as they had enough little plot twists scoped out

    advance booking yup.

its what I always do anyway cos i pay the extra for a specific seat and its just right. its no biggie.

It also allows me to get the tickets away from the queue and then if we are a little late getting kids sorted or whatever we are not left going to a **** show... but i am at the loss if i don't go.. which has not happened (yet)

<laugh> I've never been to a cinema where even half the seats were filled. How do you book a cinema seat- they don't have rows or numbers on the seats?

Go online and there's a seating plan, pick the seats and buy the tickets.

Do you live in the US or Azerbaijan?

    they do here.

depends on size of cinema so there can be a mix of generate and specific seating.

this is why i'm going monday to star wars. some clowns booked the good seats for the opening night and i for one refuse to sit at the side or front.

If our cinemas ever packed that full I would be annoyed. I want a two or three seat radius around me with no other people. I don't want to smell anyone's else's fake orange coloured butter popcorn or hear them shuffling around.

    But... I don't like being around people I don't know... <ok>

I'd rather wait till I can stream it (@RHC thats like getting VHS over the internet )... There again I've got kids so almost all films I have to watch at home unless it's something I'm dying to see... Like the Bond flick I saw.

    I've got the sitter arranged.

I dunno what time you get to go to cinema or size of your cinmea so we might be talking you have a 20 screen affair with the movie running on 6 of them and every half hour you can stroll in for all i know.

Ours can be a lot smaller in size and then they have less seats so sell out.

I have often deliberately gone midweek to get space like you say but with star wars and it being christmas I expect it to be packed

I think most cinemas around here have between 16 to 20-something screens. Smallest I know of has 12 and yes, big new releases will play on a number of screens at once. I don't normally go to big releases opening weekend because my 2 or 3 seat buffer zone is more likely to be encroached.

I'm going to be going on my son's birthday which will be after its been on for over a week so shouldn't be crowded.

I remember when I was a teenager. Girl I was dating at the time and myself couldn't keep our hands off each other. We were playing a silly game this one day where we had to make the other kiss first.

It was a weekend. Went to a cinema in the shopping mall (don't remember which film) got in and sat down... We were the only ones there. We were the only ones for the entire film. Our game ended fairly quickly. <laugh>

As much of star wars fan I am I absolutely loathe watching films in a cinema, can't smoke a joint while I watch which for me is like tea with no milk. I'll wait and download a good copy and watch it at home where I can scratch my balls and see some weed without being arrested.

Yeh went there one year when we went Orlando, wasn't that great, especially after eating at places like Olive Garden, Red Lobster etc.

Ideal for kids though I suppose. <ok>

Cicis is cheapo. It has a reputation as a place kids love and adults hate.

I don't hate it though.. I just don't love it. Pizza isn't great (it's down at about dominos/pizza hut quality)

For under $5 (about £3.50?) all you can eat mediocre pizza it's not a bad price though.

We typically only go on kids birthdays or when they get free coupon from school. Occassionally pick up the three pizza for $13 deal on way home if too lazy to cook on nights wife is at school.

That's the reason people go there though... Because it's cheap not because it's good.

If you're ever back in the US and want pizza and all they have are chain places around you:

Mellow Mushroom is by far the best chain pizza place. Marcos is good too. They're both really pricey though, you can spend over $20 on a large pizza there.

    Yeah but.....

    Is a large to you a 24" 18" or 12"

I remember being in us first time at work and they brought me to local place which was not a chain... for lunch now.... and this fat woman ordered an 18" pizza and gulped half with a giant salad and brought rest home.

I was astounded at the state of it.

Every place is different. I think 12" is normally considered a small personal pizza.

Medium is usually 14" or 16". Anything above that is large. But large at one store might be different to large at another. I don't eat enough pizza to know what MM's large size is... Its pretty big though.

See here 9" would be to me a personal pizza and 12" is large and a sharer.

I have seen more 18" come in but for me it's madness.
