It's funny, I found myself listening to the Alan Brazil Show on Talkshite this morning and when asked who he felt was the main challenge to Manure for the title next season, Ronnie Irani (Mr Prawn Sandwich himself) made a long speech about how in his mind LFC now represented the main threat to the Mancs.

Is this some concerted attempt by Baconface at reverse psychology, I wonder?

the mancs certainly seem to be talking us up.

rooney is a combination of a blue and a manc so hates us. ferguson has explained to hi mto build us up to knock us down. simple as that.

Weirdly, I had a dream about a golfer getting 2 holes-in-one last night and that Alan Brazil had put a bet on it. Bizarre cos I hardly hear that show these days. Speaking of which, I noticed Gray and Keays have gone. I never listened to it. Did they get the bullet? If they did it was clearly down to the zonal presenting, which is rubbish. With man-to-man presenting at least you know who responsible for the gaffe.

Anyway, Irani was just parroting Fergie cos he said Liverpool were a threat again. And now Rooney's joining in, too. Luckily nice soundbites help keep all that Despatches stuff out of the sports pages.

Apparently Bryan Robson is taking legal action against Channel four for the documentary. He has developed Rioferdinanditis,he has
.... 'forgotten'' that he was involved with the company that is involved in the corruption. He has also ''forgotten'' that Alex Ferguson is also involved.

I would love it if Captain Crutches punishment is that he must succeed Ferguson as Man United manager.Man United aren't allowed to appoint anyone else.
He would have United in league 2 in no time.

I don't know if all this talking us up is an attempt by the Mancs to try to put pressure on us before the season has even began, as GKRK already said as some sort of reverse psychology. Personally i couldn't care less what Rooney and Fergie think we'll just concentrate on ourselves and see where we are come the end of next season. As for those two i'd suggest they build one of those things their fan's are so fond of singing about and this time chuck themselves in before they burn the lot.

Ronni Irani was a total disgrace as a cricketer and is a total disgrace as a human being.

    Hadrion Collider.
He has a lot in common with Rooney so.He is a disgrace as a footballer and a disgrace as a person too.
How many footballers hurl abuse into a camera and hump whores when their wife has a bun in the oven?

if you actually read his comments they are back handed. "they think they will challenge"

not quite "i think they will challenge"

but i nthe end who cares? utd have the trophies and confidence to think they'll win it and i nthe end they really don't care who is challenging.

I reckon if we can match our second half of the season form from last season over the whole new season,we won't be challenging for a top four place...we'll be challenging for the title. We collected more points than everybody else bar Chelsea.

If that were true Fergie wouldn't play mind games with his closest challenger every season. Which he does. He went from Wenger to Mourinho to Rafa. Last time he tried it it backfired and Utd got humped way out beyond the pale.

Kenny Dalglish is the last manager he would want to play ''mind games'' with.Kenny just laughs.Kenny doesn't do rants. When he is annoyed,he does short and painful put-downs.He treats ''mind-games'' with humour,he'll take the piss.''Mind-games'' should be treated as such.

I doubt the players even know he sat up to speak through his arse.

Laughin at the BBC sport offerings such as 'Neville impressed with ManU signings' and worse. I just can't bare reading the news there, 606 was the best thing about it as bad as it was. The reporters seem to have issues with articulation, 'Lauds' and 'Hails' are two words that for some reason now annoy the fk outa me.
