Absolutely delighted with that, nervy last while but really resilient so thought it was going to be. So proud of our team. Break out the crisps, Jamie Vardy's having a party
Great to have our first win over one of the big teams, certainly gives our top spot more legitimacy to those who are saying we've had an easy run-in.
Brilliant result. 16 games in and either Vardy or Mahrez (and sometimes both) have scored in every game. Must be some kind of record.
Easy? Like playing teams like Stoke, Bournemouth, Watford..... There are no easy games anymore since all the weaker teams are beating the big boys on a regular basis.
Seeing as I was bigging Vardy up way before it became fashionable would you mind being **** when you play Liverpool?
Just done a bit of googling as along with Vardy and Mahrez the fella in midfield is brilliant week after week, I didn't know his name but he's called Kante. Very good in every game.
People say we are a two man team but I'd rather lose Mahrez and Vardy before Kante. Absolutely superb footballer.
Regarding the easy run thing. All the other 'big'teams have dropped points the the same opposition we havnt dropped points too. It's weird how the big clubs don't seem to have to beat everyone else to be considered a good team.
I've watched you play a few times this season and he's always good, breaks the play up well and is accurate and simple with his passing.
The leading scorers table is all you need to know about the problems of the "big 4". 15 Vardy (Leicester) 12 Lukaku (Everton) 11 Mahrez (Leicester) 10 Ighalo (Watford)
I've been banging on about Kante for quite some time ... but our critics much prefer to think of us as a two man team who, if one or both of the two, get injured - will struggle thereby resoring the 'natural balance'
Have to say, I'm surprised that Inler didn't come on when Drinkwater went off injured. So that's King also ahead of him in the pecking order, I can't see him being too happy with that? Is this why we're looking at De Jong? One out, one in?
Im not sure why we are looking at De Jong unless its as a stand in for Kante if he gets injured. Would prefer a creative CM, the type with the "killer pass" so to speak, rather than another sweeper.
Is looking more and more likely that Inler will be leaving and we have a young midfield so adding experience is always good. De Jong is very good at the 'dark arts' too - the type of player you would always want to play with rather then against.
Anyone know how long Drinkys out for? I guess its kind of the best timing with James coming back into contention.
Yep "We havent played anyone decent yet".......... but we are 3 games from being half way through the season!!
