What Maureen has done wrong, that started the downward spiral was sack Dr Eva Carneiro, simply reinstate her and she will lift the curse
Yeh it was top banter, really clever stuff! By the way, I don't think you'll win the league. So many of your old threads need to be bumped!
Bump away. Unlike you and LVG, I am not a coward. Here's another post for you to bump: enjoy Thursdays playing Diddyland
You're the biggest coward on the forum! Charlie Big Potatoes when things are going well, Deidre Dry Vagina when they're not! You used to start several bragging/WUM threads a day, not so much anymore!
We looked pony well before then! To think though, however ****e we've been this year, we still managed to get our annual win over Wenger when it mattered.
Hasn't really made much of a difference to your season or to ours. And in addition, let's not pretend you won that game by fair means. Not like you had a huge helping hand along the way. The result since then has been put into its proper context.
Well we'd be in the relegation zone at the moment without that win!!. The difference between 17 and 18th in the league is probably the biggest in English football given the money on offer next year, P.L status etc!!
I don't see what JM is doing any differently this season than he's always done so this isn't his fault. Recent results and historically Chelsea do well against Sunderland but if Chelsea struggle to get a result over a team they traditionally beat handsomely then it will be curtains for Chelsea.
Your manager has been shown up for what he is - a fraud. Spends £300m and you're 16th for crying out loud . As average as we have been under Wenger over the years, he's never spent ****loads of money to be absolutely ****. Mourinho has turned your club into an utter embarrassment and laughing stock.
He has gotten away with it in the past by having the luxury of large budgets and having no longevity at clubs, leaving on his own terms when things have gotten tough. You can refer to Porto all you like, I think with time its showing that his achievements their with the minimal budget and resources was a once-off. His self-aggrandising behaviour and willingness to point the blame at other people except for himself show how toxic he really is. He knows as well as anyone that his man management techniques with his players will never work out in the long haul and that's being perfectly demonstrated now.
To be fair, you're talking absolute **** mate. Inter were gutted when he left and look how they nosedived straight after, there is even talk of Real wanting him back as well. To win the C.L not once, but twice with unfancied clubs has not been done by anyone else, ever. Certainly not Wenger who hasn't even managed to win it once despite having the luxury of 20 odd years at the same club. Jose has his faults, like pretty much any manager / human being, but to say he is a fraud is ridiculous and frankly you're embarrassing yourself. It's easy enough to rip on us at the moment without having to resort to this level of bollox.
Ok, I will admit I was WUMming to your fellow Chelsea fan when I called him a fraud, but to be fair, Inter were already a financially stable, well-established side who were at the top of their game and prior to Mourinho taking over, Mancini had won successive league titles. The level of competition had also declined due to Calcipoli. To then add to that success by spending more money to a side at their peak and win silverware with them is surely what you would expect, no? Benitez didn't do a particularly good job following on from that admittedly, but massive injuries to key players & being undermined by the board who wouldn't give him the same backing as they gave the predecessor clearly had an effect, too. Wenger's European record isn't very good, but it's pointless of you trying to slag him off to me because I'm not his biggest fan. Mourinho tries to create a siege mentality in the dressing room, but it isn't sustainable in the long-term. To then claim all the credit for when things go well, yet shift responsibility to the players and staff when things go pete tong isn't the best way to get them on your side, is it? I actually want him to stay at Chelsea to genuinely see if he has the cojones and the capabilities as a manager to deal with this situation because he's never had to before in his career. If he chooses to leave, then it undermines his previous achievements to an extent because it would show that he can't handle adversity.
Even if you don't lose at the Emirates, we're still going to have a better season than you. Which isn't hard to be fair, but I think that's a fairly weak comeback. Kind of like your team's attempts at winning games this season.
Inter were a good side domestically (helped no end by the scandal that meant Inter won titles they didn't 'win' plus Juve's relegation) but until Jose took over they did very little in the C.L. Jose comes in, loses his best player in Ibrahimovic and wins their only ever treble. It was a fantastic job he did there. Ditto Porto and us. When you look at how Real have faired in the league since he left, you'd have to say he did a relatively good job there as well with record point hauls and taking a title off Barca. He made C.L semi every year and went out on pens twice if memory serves. The guys a serial winner. Our failures this year can't just be levelled at the manager IMO as he is not doing anything significantly different despite having effectively the same squad. No one can seem to put a finger on it and it's probably a combo of lots of smaller issues snowballing into a disaster. It's practically unheard of to happen nowadays but there is always a first!
