I suspect that is a yes. Runner up of group D v winner of group E, in Paris. I've got no idea if that is match 43 though - but it sounds like it.

    This is quite fun: http://euro2016.eurosport.co.uk/

Really tough to pick who will get through in third place, it may be that some of the weaker groups have more teams progress as the points are shared more evenly, e.g. Group F.

Seem to have a France v Spain final but Germany will be there or there abouts. Have a feeling Austria could be the dark horses.

Hodgeson getting a contract extension to 2018 if we do "well" at the Euros. Seems like the FA can't think of a credible replacement... Does that mean there's nobody better in the wings, or has hodgeson got his hands on some incriminating photos and is holding them all over a barrel? Can't think of any other reasons myself

Apart from the fact he got England through qualifying with a 100% win record?

I am happy with Roy. I think he represents England well in front of the media and respect him for not just picking guard or players from top clubs. He gives inform players a chance and happy days when jrod, rickie, lallana, chambers, clyne were all getting into squads.

You're entitled to that opinion of course, the thought just fills me with dread at another 2 years of mediocrity after we bomb out of the Euros. I don't believe he is the one to take England to the mythical next level when we can compete with the best in the world, and I worry about someone who would make Rooney first name on the team sheet, regardless of form, and who perseveres with the likes of welbeck and cleverly as suitable England players.

I think Belgium could win this....great side. Actually I think they should win it, but of course the best side on paper doesn't always win.

It will be Oliver and Clattenburg from the 2018 World Cup.

Belgium should definitely be winning this with the players they have. That said, I've yet to see them playing to their potential.

Nah, Germany. They've got the best squad IMO.

I think they have very similar quality squads. The Germans have more experience though and that could be decisive. I was definitely a bit eager when I said that Belgium should definitely be winning it. But they should be close imo.

Home nations always do well and the unity story may just carry them over the line, plus you usually get the benefit of the debatable decisions!

I'd say Poland are a pretty good bet for finishing bottom of the group here, with England second bottom. Depends on how Wales deal with a first tournament in years.

Not sure Belgium can be seen as dark horses, in as far as no team ranked number one in the world in the FIFA rankings can be seen as outsiders in any way.

Poland are wheeled out every tournament, because of one player, and will fare as they usually do.

Austria are surely the dark horses here to do well, and possibly the hipsters' choice too.
