    Hope shako is really fit.

2/3 weeks is not bad at all for him. I thought it would be medial ligaments at best and 12 weeks.

I thought it be worse and potentially bone damage.

Thankfully not - not a fan of the guy and I rather sell but glad it's not a a serious injury. Looked awful at the time.

So our line up looks largely decided then

    Mingolet
    clyne Skertl Sakho Moreno
this picks itself realistically as we've nothing better...
    Can Henderson
I would have thought the midfield is a choice from 3, lucas missed out last time. I think it will be interesting to see what happens here

    Lallana Milner Coutinho
    Benteke
We will have to see what klopp brings to the table here as this for me has been a big big let down over the last 2/3 games. there is a big lack of high level intensity and players running out of ideas and stopping working as a team.

I feel this is the area where his only options are firmino and ibe, Origi is ok and all but he's not really in the queue for me. What can klopp do here to change the approach in a full weeks training

Benteke is ****. Origi has shown more in his last few performances than Benteke has all season.

Origi got a jammy goal last time.

His goal v southampton was a class one but he's nowhere near ready and would be anonymous in this game if picked i reckon. Getting some game time as a sub is good for him right now.

the issue is most all bentekes goals have had to be just as good a strike as origi's good one. We've let him down, he's not let us down <ok>

The 3 behind him need to get their act together and the whole unit needs to get working together. We will see if a week of training can help with that.

You're right - our skilful, tricky, intelligent attacking mids need to start pumping long balls or crosses to Benteke more often.

No mate - Klopp is trying to build a style which doesn't compliment Benteke. Klopps style suits most of the team. Why change it all for one person who isn't even performing well when we do cross for him?

I'm sorry MITO - but it's conclusive. Benteke isn't good enough. Benteke has scored one or two more goals than Origi and has probably played more minutes. However, one of those players has acceleration and works harder.

Look at his positioning. Always seems to go far post.

One of the worst signings in our history.

no they need to actually press properly, be a bit more brave themselves and not run off on their own and lash hopeless shots. they needs to run beyond the guy and try to get in behind the opposition defenses.

I would contend klopps style doesn't suit a lot of players far worse. It really suits 3/4 of our line up. It suite moreno and can and they have prospered, it should suit coutinho to an extent but he's not up at the level of energy half the time and that does right back under rogers....

When you get your wish and see origi for 90mins what did you see?

0-0 v sion... total dirt game, no benteke to blame though.. oh wait see those attakcing players let origi down too... and he missed chances... thats the thing.. how come one guy can be lauded when he's not the option while he misses the same amount or more and benteke is constantly berated no matter what AND before he ever donned a red shirt too... mmmm..

Out guys need to do a hell of a lot better and play incisive one touch stuff. supply benteke and he will finish them.... sturridge is frustrating cos he's make the ideal runs and score lots but he's never fit and honestly one run and one strike doens't make a player.

Origi needs time and experience not weight of expectation

ever hear of pulling off the back of the defender and getting in his blind spot? no?

Pity our lot deliver such inconsistent balls nobody can figure out where the hell to run.

worst signings in our history shows your bias in full swing now.

    how about mad mario then...

This is the thing, you could swap Benteke and Mario and you wouldn't notice the difference. Everyone slagging off Mario are now making excuses for Benteke. I'm guilty of vice versa!

Little work rate, little movement and little involvement in build up play. But one player was bought for £16m. The other for twice as much.

And you're gonna judge Origi on the Sion game? A dead rubber which was on a frozen pitch? Fair enough - that's one game. Our best team performances have come when Benteke hasn't started.

Apart from 45 mins against Arsenal, Benteke has been awful in the rest, as have the team.

And the whole we're putting in poor balls is half true. We're crap at crossing but we do put in good crosses every now and again, and we play long balls up to him. But he's so static.

That's on him. So unless we cross great balls, pin point onto his head, he's practically useless.
