Nope, he has looked poor. It would be fair to say the 4 major buys from the last 2 seasons have suddenly fallen apart, Costa, Fabregas, Matic and Pedro. Not one of them is performing this season and Hazard really doesn't want to be there.
I never imagined them doing this badly for this long, and its crazy to look at these great players playing do badly! But i do think that its partly to do with mourinhos management style - built on tension and controversy, which eventually stops getting positive effects on the team. Also in preseason he pouted about not being able to sign the players he wanted, underlining the weaknesses in the squad instead of building confidence, he then chased stones And missed out, which must have been a knock to terry, zouma and cahill. After that he's gone through the whole team blaming individual players - using them as scapegoats for the whole teams form. 1st it was carneiro, then terry, (1st time hed every been subbed by mourinho), then azpilicueta, fabregas, matic, cahill, hazard and finally costa - theyve all been unceremoniously dropped and slagged off at some point. It cant be good for moral. Especially when jose blames everything under the sun besides actually admitting it may be his fault!
Remember wenger getting slated for keeping ozil instead of buying fabregas? Boy did he get that right?
It's crazy to see a team drop so far so fast - I mean with Man U it was a bit understandable as they'd lost a long term manager, a great, huge changes in the club and their aging team needed an overhaul it didn't get, and they had a manager who'd never managed at that level. But with Chelsea this is literally the same squad/manager who were unstoppable last season (at least for the 1st half/three quarters).
Something very fishy is going on, that's for sure. No way should a team with such top players and manager be doing so badly.
Maybe Abramovich is trying to get some lost oil money back by doing an audacious 'betting swindle' haha!
Lovely to see it happening to Mourinho, if ever a mouthy ****er deserved to be knocked off of his perch
Whenever the camera switches to him in this game he looks like a 3 year old about to throw a tantrum! (who wants to bet that the grass is too long or slippery and that is to blame for the loss?)
Jose has also gone for the Corbyn look today as well, unstyled grey hair and old man coat, maybe he's hoping some of Corbyn's winning form will rub off! HAHA
Maybe he should go for something closer to the truth and say that he's now unable to outspend teams by a few hundred million pounds, even stoke have Barca players now!
2-1 now. Pedro skins Simpson and puts in an inch-perfect cross for Remy. Let's see if Leicester have the resolve to see it out. Either way, even if Chelsea equalise, a draw still isn't good enough for them.
Mahrez off for Inler. Hmm. Not sure about that, Ulloa has had no influence on the game at all, so I think he should have been subbed off, and at least Mahrez has the skill and acceleration to push Chelsea back.
