Adel must be so jealous of his old club. As he ploys his trade in Benfica reserves with a view to making the First Team, his old club are 13th in the fantastic league that is the Championship and recently drew 0-0 at home to Preston North End. Benfica meanwhile have just been knocked out of the Champions League and are in third position in the Portuguese League. You have wasted your career Adel.

I have to agree .................. I think he will continue to view the first team from reserve grade for the remainder of his career.
At the end of the day, he only has to prove anything, to himself.

Obviously, he hasn't set the bar too high.

    Superb stuff
Not worried what he does off the pitch. On it he is a master with the ball. Welcome back at QPR IMO anytime
A player like this that also rejects the stupid crap side of football authority gets my vote all day long
He is a blessed creative player
Love it also that it's reported abroad that he has no love of money and just loves to play his game... When he chooses on his terms

You listen to all footballers today it's all about their career and doing the right thing, saying the right thing to appease the fans. Very few have any loyalty in their bones at all.

Taarabt I respect for just being honest. What we have in England are dinosaurs like Redknapp who failed In bigger ways

A player that expects to get paid by a football club, every week, so he can do whatever he wants, whenever he wants ??

    Interesting.

And has no regard for the reward the club offers him, to perform on a consistent basis.

    mmmmm ??

I am coming from a place where money in football is now crazy
    We have created a monster
Your last comment is bollocks as usual because you have decided to side with Redknapp who was useless and without doubt made the Taarabt thing worse. Chuck in a couple of other press releases and your opinion is formed. No problem that's your opinion.
Taarabt is a young idiot of the pitch maybe simple and like a child
He looks to have bad influences around him
    I say so what
He has a talent and I say it's his and let him use it as he sees fit
I fully expect him to have a lot of regrets but to fulfil fans from his old club like you ... I wouldn't waste my time . We had a uncontrollable genius at our club who bar a few off days was when he played the best player on the pitch
    It's history anyway

I fully agree with KPD's last line. I, like you, have no time for the media in this country and was not a great beliver of Harry and the BS he used to spout. At the end of the day the guy has talent but hasn't got the attitude to apply it. Respect is earned and he has done nothing to earn mine or other fans respect after that one season. To be a great player there needs to be a consistency in their performances. The only thing he consistently did was be disrespectful to the club and paying fans by not applying himself. You say he has talent and he can use it as he sees fit. Well he doesn't use it at all cos he can't apply himself. The money thing isn't his fault, who wouldn't take a wage like that if offered but once you take someone's money, at least give something back for it. For the number of years he was at our club, I personally feel he never gave back nearly enough. Ultimately, your right in one sense, it and he are history. Thank god is all I'd add to that.

    That's rich coming from you.

WTF has Redknap got to do with my opinion.... Where on earth did that come into what I said ? Never quoted him ??? Don't think I have ever quoted HR ??? Bizarre

But hey, why should logic be applied to any post of yours

What are you on mate! Heavy duty irony! All these breathtaking 0 0's in the Championshit? Benfica knocked out the CL? The draw I just saw has them playing Zenith next round. 1st game 16 Feb. A better opportunity for Adel than he'd get at most Clubs in England, let alone us.

I seriously doubt Benfica would risk playing someone in that game that doesn't train properly and by all appearances can't even take a corner properly. Just cos Benfica are there has no baring on what opportunities Adel will have. The only thing that will effect his opportunities is his own application. As most of us can see he can't apply himself so it's a moot point really.

Well, when all is said and done Adel has given me more entertainment and caused my jaw to drop in wonder more than all other QPR players combined over the last 20 years. I think the slagging off is because we miss him. He's a dickhead, but there you go.

I seem to remember the moment we clinched the title he was slagging us off and angling for a move, hard to warm to a selfish prick who should have been our talisman but ended up a fat parody of himself...

Marsh and Bowles performed every game they played, Adel performed when he felt like it, there's the difference

If you bothered to read more than about the corner he screwed up, to the media and many's delight, you'd have read he played well that game and looked in shape. In his next I think Reserve game he scored what looked a real quality jaw dropping goal after 12 seconds. It's on this thread. What happened after I don't know, but unless Redknapp's Portuguese cousin is running things at Benfica, if he does manage to stay fit and playing well in the Reserves, he'll have a good chance of getting playing time in their 1st team. Hope he stays fit, gets a game 16 February and we see some more of what this genius can do when he's in shape. Beats another 0-0 slog in the Championship for eye candy anyway.

That's bollox. Bowles is the best Ive seen, but there were many games I saw towards the end of Stanley's time with us when he did not perform at all.

I'll believe it when I see it. Sorry but I just don't think he'll ever have the application to stay in any team for long. Either he'll start believing his own press again and self destruct or become complacent and not try anymore and be dropped. He's done it everywhere else he's been. He has never been consistent. Biggest waste of talent I've ever seen.
