How exciting were Wigan and Blackpool though?

    Very.

How did that impact their standing in the division?

    Badly.

That's where it is all relative. Depending on who's holding the mic. If Chelsea played the way United did for the first 10 games, they would be called "solid" team and favorite to win the league. But with United, many would be quick to btch that it is not the United way and the manager must change.

Did you hear the commentary for Chelsea v Porto compared to is. Yes they won but everything was praised where we were slammed and nobody knew the final scores at that point.

That's exactly the point! There is the United commentary, and there is the rest of the league's commentary. I guess it's the measure of either how high of standard we had set is or how much everyone else hates United. lol

  13. I think us Spurs and United fans need to form an axis!

'Pool and (especially) Arsenal fans are getting far too above themselves.

Chelsea are down, but make no mistake, lads, the minute they start to improve, we're going to have the humiliating prospect of Lee and Ozzie creaming theselves and giving large all over the site. Well, assuming they aren't banned from the rest of the site, that is!

The standard that gets us back to doing what every single one of those other players has done and Fellaini hasn't, that standard.

One or two of the players you mentioned weren't good enough, the rest were. The fact is though they were part of winning teams. Fellaini is deemed to be an acceptable part of a currently mediocre side. Which is also clearly acceptable to some. That side will struggle to improve with him in it as deemed to be good enough.

Like I said last night, you clearly think he's good enough. I get it.

Those are your standards, not mine.

To answer that I would look at who is nearer (or looking capable of achieving) their expectations this season. Both, if they get their act together are capable. I just think your manager is perhaps more likely to. You fcked up today, but you'll probably win/lose enough to be there or there abouts come the end of the season. Win/lose is always better than draw/draw which we seem to be doing.

My argument is that being "good enough" should not be a fixed judgment. We should be able to adjust our metric based on performance. In the past two games, he has shown spirit. More than anyone else in the team. We could do with than more than skill right about now.

You also suggested in your previous post that Fellaini was playing in mid table team and thus is a mid table player and not a United type. I think that is a terrible argument to make and an argument that completely fails to acknowledge anyone playing outside the big four. By your logic, they are automatically not good enough. I guess someone like Vardy would have added no value to United because Leicester was a mid table team until this season. Nor would the likes of Lukaku who has consistently performed well for Everton. Similar to how Mourinho saw no value in De Bruyne and Lukaku as well.

When did losing become better than drawing, Treble?

Based on two games it is 1 point more every time :emoticon-0100-smile

    Edit............ergo win/lose/win/lose is better than draw/draw/draw/draw <ok>
