Really can not say we deserve a point today...this second half has been the worst 45 mins since the united away match last season The players and the manager need to learn lessons quickly after that fiasco
Complacent and lazy. We deserved nothing from that game, and that's exactly what we're getting! So frustrating! Clearly, we do not want 4th spot.
1-2 FT. That's easily our worst domestic performance of the season. Flat first half, awful second. No energy, no sharpness, no intent and no attitude. The players looked happy to stroll through and you just can't do that in this league. They came out for the second half in reverse gear and never got out of it.
Typical Spurs... we get presented a chance to go fourth and squander it. What good is all this pressing and tippy tappy stuff if it just leads to draws and now an inevitable defeat?
We went back to the Spurs of old, something I though maybe this young team wouldnt do. Being a Spurs fan is so f*cking frustrating sometimes!! The only thing is there are a lot of games coming up and hopefully we can bounce back quickly.
Kane should have been subbed on 60 minutes as he was not holding the ball up and his 1st touch and passing were poor. By taking off a midfielder and leaving Kane on MP's change had no positive effect on the match for us and allowed Newcastle to maintain the upper hand. Taking Lamela off made no sense as he was causing some problems and working hard. I am truly mystified by the team performance and tactics
Unlucky lads. Got to admit I didn't see that one coming. Good luck for the rest of the season. Oh and by the way, can I just apologise for JPF in advance.........
Fuming. Yet again we choke. Same old spurs. Alan hansen was right, the only consistent thing about spurs is they will always let you down
You got your prediction closer than most of us did! We were awful and you deserved your win. McClaren's got something to build on now.
Probably newcastles best performance of the season, especially second half. They defended exceptionally well as a unit, were first to most balls, and played us at our own pressing game... better. We were due a defeat, it's just a real shame that it has come against someone that we really should be beating at home. We were dog ****, but every club has days like this. We can finally forget about this unbeaten run now, and work out how we're going to start winning some more matches. 6 is simply not enough. Several players weren't at the races today, including Kane who (if we had another out and out striker) should have been subbed. We looked sloppy and tired all over the pitch. Need to stay positive though. - we'd have taken only losing 1 game prior to today in August. Just one of those days. COYS.
Several players ran out of steam today - most worryingly Dier. It also showed up the inexperience of Alli and Carroll - and again proved that Rose is a liability at LB. Consistently getting drawn out of position leaving us wide open down the left. A thoroughly bad day at the office and a great shame seeing as where we could have been in the table this evening.
Man of the match for my money was Rose., However a complete balls-up by the boys there. And what a way to loose an unbeaten run. And to Newcastle of all people. I'm going to the sea shortly to drown my sorrows, I might be some time. Newcastle wtf...and at a time like this. I need time on my own.
