We lost some 5hite games with Fergie. But the reason why I call it straw clutching and a loser mentality is bcos we've clearly under-performed this season. You've said so yourself earlier. The fact we're 3 points behind and not at least 5 points in front is why it's such a loser mentality. I'm really not too bothered where we are in the league but everytime I hear this "We're only x points below the top" excuse it sounds desperate and pretty irrelevant. I feel like I'm talking to a Liverpool or Arsenal fans tbh.

I was watching the game yesterday and following BBC website. Some of the comments were talking about how horrible we were in that game. They did the same with the champions league match. Irony is that, in those two games, I couldn't actually fault the team apart from the horrible mistakes. Yet everyone slated us. I guess that is just it. When you are Manchester United, you are judged by a completely different standard. People should also remember that the same media never gave credit to the team in Fergie's last two years. Even when we won the league. It was either down to luck or Fergie time. Joy of being a United fan, perhaps!

We were clueless going forward yesterday. I wasn't bothered about the calamatous defending. I was expecting it before the match, but at the very least I was expecting a more "end to end" game and a high scoring game at both ends. What is soul destroying is the lack of confidence or ideas in our attacking players. Winning is secondary to most United fans I know atm except those who are only interested in tuning into Final Scores or watching how many "points we are below top spot".

The problem with your analysis is that even when we were on good run of results, you always found a way to criticize the manager. Let's not pretend you've only started doing this in the past week. It didn't matter what the result was, you would always, and I say always, have something negative to say. You cannot deny this! Going back to your comment about under performing, we were known for that to not kick into gear until after Xmas. What has killed us is not LVG's tactics as obsessive as people have become with that, it is the fact that we didn't address our key deficiencies in the summer aka striking options, right winger. That is LVG's btw. But what is done is done!! Overall, the foundation is in this team to succeed into the future. When the injuries get remedied, we will be in a better position in the league.
