Good news about Snodgrass, he's a class act and if he can get to 80 percent off what he is capable of season it will make up for some of the deadwood like Aluko who seem to be more or less useless compared to how they were
That was a beautiful cross by Snodgrass , he looks an obvious starter when fully fit In that case where does that leave Robertson , his crossing and final ball was terrible all game
It's something he needs to work on, but Robbo probably is the first name on the team sheet, purely because we have no one else remotely competent in his position. And he's still a class act.
I know, I disagree with him. I was expecting him to sort us out and help us dominate the midfield, but he barely did the former and neglected to do the latter. Ah well, roll on Wednesday and see if he can do better.
How does yesterdays performance sit with Brucies rant after last weeks game? Was it something like we will never see a performance as bad as that again, too many players not trying, not about names on shirts blaa blaa blaa. Iv'e seen blame the weather, the ref and a resilient Bolton team but it still sounds like we were under-performing and nothing has changed.
A totally grotty day weather wise. A totally grotty match referee Michael Bull. (makes Attwell look decent) Almost a grotty match to watch More than an acceptable starting line up A PERFECT RESULT WITH A BONUS OF ANOTHER CLEAN SHEET. Only Ipswich Town of the top sides also won. Hull City close the gap to top spot to 4 points. Job done and we move on.
It's all about opinions I suppose, when I haven't seen the match I read stuff online and try and formulate an opinion as to whats happened. Not sure if Meyler will be benefitted by playing 2 games in quick succession so he might not be at his best next week
Oh for a manager aka Eddie Howe whose teams first through when they get the ball is, 'how quick can we get up the other end'. In this division with slow centre backs a defence splitting pass or pace will scare most defences to death. We have no one with that pass or anyone with pace though Diomande has yet to hang himself.
jesus.you thought he had a good game.i agree he put some good crosses in.but he is a total wuss.he would rather they scored than get in the way of a shot.and they often do.
In fairness, when we were beaten at Charlton earlier this season, Bruce when asked by Burnsy what happened there then (his we were **** would you like to explain that Steve question) said .. and I quote 'it was hot!!!' you couldn't make it up. So we are very much a team who are climatic dependent obviously.
Probably why he sent Feelman to do the post match interview as he was not prepared to face the questions. Chubby did say they has worked very hard during the week mind you..
Whilst not great due to many reasons it was certainly better than last week. We won for a start. It is a game we would have lost in previous seasons. Bolton did not make it easy and with better composure in front of goal we could have had 2 more goals at least. We shall see in the next 2 games just how much Brucies rant last week has worked out. But for now 3 points is 3 points. Results elsewhere also went for us. Job done. We move on.
