Match Day Thread Hull City v Bolton Wanderers

I reckon that the ref had a lot to do with City's less than sparkling performance - no chance to settle into a strong performance with a stoppage every few seconds.

 

Us & Ipswich (started the day in 9th)

 

How was Anne Diamond when he came on?

That was the refs first Championship game. Probably he last too.

 

That corner at the end....3 city players messing around to waste time and run the clock down

No chance was he the best player in our team today.

 

Looks pretty nippy. ****ed up an easy header from a quality cross from Snodds.
Wont lead the line. Plays off a striker. The one we havent ****ing got!!!!

 

I really don't complain about refs that much but he was utterly clueless today

We got 3 points , the performance was worrying though , luckily Bolton are relegation fodder as we wouldn't have beaten anybody else

Not the best of games, though the condition were difficult. 3 points was the most important thing, ref was ****e, thought Snodders looked quite good when he came on as did Diomante.

 

There's probably plenty, but the key is to have ONLY played in those 7.

The entire point is Meyler and Livermore have only played those games together.

 

Well clearly no one else could do that

 

awful weather - poor ref - poor performance - but 3 points is 3 points and it was one of those days when no-one would have been surprised if they equalised in the last minute - having said that I can't remember a worse Bolton side for some time - they were truly crap and I cant see them staying up even if they avoid a 12 point deduction if they go into admin

as far as who played well - Davies and Daws were ok - Olubajo was hit and miss - some good stuff but also some **** ups - God knows how Meyler was voted MoM - he actually wasn't - Livermore was careless with more awful passing - Snoddy looked good and Carbonado, much better name, (black diamond) looked promising - the missed header came a bit too soon perhaps

 

I'm not sure your point. Meyler and Livermore have only played those 7 games together, and we've won 7 without conceding any. Dawson has presumably played other games with Meyler, and other games with Livermore, as has McGregor.

 

The positives:

1. 3 points & the others in the top 5 all drew
2. Snodgrass getting fittter & sharper
3. Akpom needed a goal

The negs:

1. Dawson again out
2. The inability to kill a poor side off
3. Some big names went missing esp Diamé

 

Diame's hoping for a prem move next month and so he's trying to avoid injury. He's a ****.
