Do we need to purchase a leader, or should we promote from within?

I personally believe we should purchase a strong partner for Mbemba to act as captain, and McClaren should get Sissoko or Janmaat to be vice captain.

However, I think a leader at CM could also be beneficial.

 

I actually think Mbemba would make a good leader given time.

He does need a partner though!

 

Don't think we specifically need to buy a leader. We just need to buy as Joe Harvey would have said "bloody good players"..

De Jong or Gini would be adequate with either or Janmaat as vice captain.

No way on earth should the chicken hearted Sissoko be either captain or vice captain. He wouldn't fight his way out of a paper bag never mind any crisis we manage to dig ourselves into.

 

I think they should keep Coloccini captain but make it a non-playing position like in the Davis Cup or Ryder Cup. He could go up the touchline in a golf buggy shouting at them.

Unfortunately you haven't got an option for cm player that can pass long, short through balls, score freekicks and has intelligence.

Solid cb with a little bark to him would be ideal. I'd take someone from! The championship. Considering how bad Colo has been it cant be much worse. Curtis Davies springs to mind.
