Just when we start to show some form we concede a cheap goal. Three central defenders and not one of them marking the most forward central Palace player.
Trouble with playing 3 at the back is - the RCB and LCB are often faced 1v1 against the winger with the wing-backs caught up-field. Means Yosh vs Zaha and VVD vs Bolasie
Not sure this is the game to be getting the ball wide and drilling crosses in. Palace has been crowding the wide areas quite effectively, and we aren't overburdened with powerful headers in the box, Davis' effort notwithstanding.
I shudder to think where a goal is coming from, yet again unless it's a corner or free kick I don't see us splitting Palace open for the next fortnight. I think we have a draw in us though.
Dreadful defending for that goal. Bolasie looked offside to me though. Our shooting is really atrocious. Wanyama shouldn't be allowed to shoot - row z every ****ing time.
Imo Wanyama and Romeu are both playing well. Davis was unlucky not to score from that good ball in by Cedric. Mane looks dangerous. Long looks ok. Gazzaniga looks solid. There is a chance of getting back into the game if we ditch the three at the back right now.
If there's a game for Juanmi, this is it. Having him run off Long with Mane sitting in the hole might open some space in the centre of the park.
Quite a few times in recent games we've started well in the second half (although only against City did we manage to turn that into a second half goal), so I'm going to remain positive. I'd be bringing Tadic on at HT, either for one of three CMs or one of three CBs (I would certainly ditch one of three CBs at some point during this game, whilst we remain behind, but I'm not bothered if that is at HT or later on the game in game. We've already been burnt by Liverpool by making an offensive change too early).
You can score with your arm! ....it wouldn't count mind. In all honesty, they only showed one replay of the actual pass to Bolasie, and it looked offside at that time. Need to see it again to be sure.
